I'm not 100% sure, but I think so.

You're at [2 +8 -25]. You've got 5 discs on the board - taking off 4 would put you at -10 upkeep, but 2 of those hexes would have to have a money cube come off, putting you at [2 +4 -10]. Taking off the last disc puts you at [2 +3 -7]. And you have no science or materials to trade...

Sigh, as fun as it was to see, I fear that all Tatts' last stand has done is play into CF's/twelve's hands. Its weakened D'rek and taken out a potential threat on twelve's left flank.

I'm not sure my player board is right.

At the start of the round I had 7 hexes influenced but I had the advanced robotics tech so 6 influence disks spent.
My actions for the round are:
Research Tachyon source - 7
Upgrade -8
Upgrade -9
Build -10
Move-11
Move-12
Influence Next gain of one influence disks -13-12-11
Upgrade-12
Settle Mu Arae

Shouldn't I be at -25 before I settle IH's homeworld?

I'm going with this as my correct upkeep

Bank: 0
Income: 28
Upkeep: -30

Trade 2 material & Trade 2 science for 2 money

Tats was never a threat to me. One upgrade of my starbase and I have 2 antimatter cannons blasting away at his overhulled Dread.

Now we only have two rounds left. How much carnage can I do in that short of time?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I don't mean in a conquering sense twelve. But in terms of distraction and expenditure of moves, he could have been. If you have to think about spending even some of your resources on seeing off Tatts, then that would have halted some plans elsewhere.

The lions CF/twelve strutting around; D'rek/IH are wounded animals but with bite left; I'm a fat sleeping giant; and EM is the joker in the pack.

I'll double check the rules, but I think twelve is right. If you go bankrupt you remove everything. If you lose all discs in combat you can keep playing with your ships and by researching, OR you can return everything (you get the choice?)

You are right. There was an upgrade action that I processed, but didn't save right and so missed. You can see in the OP image that there are only 2 discs on UPG and there should be 3.

Yup, it is right:

Going Bankrupt at Upkeep time:

Quote

In the unlikely event that you do not have enough Influence
Discs to remove, your civilization has collapsed and your
game ends here. Count your score and return all your game
components to the game box.



Whereas if you lose all your discs from combat:

Quote

player elimination In the unlikely event that you lose all
of your Influence Discs and Ships from the game board, you
may no longer place Influence Discs on hexes. You may continue
to produce Resources each round (note that you will
have some production even if you do not have any Population
Cubes on the board) and take Research actions, which
may still grant a few Victory Points. It is very unlikely that
your score will be high, as just the hexes will often grant
you over 10 Victory Points. You may also give up the game,
counting your score and returning all your game components
to the game box.



In regards to ambassador tiles, my interpretation (as moderator) is that if you have to return all your components (from bankruptcy or if you choose it upon combat elimination) all diplomatic relations you were in are broken, ambassador tiles are returned to both parties and the cubes on them must be replaced. Thematically, it makes sense since you would not gain any resources from trading with a bankrupt civilization, nor would you gain any reputation as a peacemaker (the 1 VP from the ambassador tile) for having relations to a collapsed nation.

If the components are returned, reputation tiles, tech tiles, etc will *not* be returned to the bags, as they can only count for points/progress once and the collapsed nation does still get a score counted.

I know but that was before D'rek moved into my territory. I was happy to research and spend materials on orbitals and monoliths, and had let her know this. I could have went for an attacking strategy and attacked vega and the one next to it BUT I said i'll leave her alone if she leaves me alone, I even offered an alliance or relation with her. IF that had happened I would have got a lot of VP's through research. She could have committed strength to your cause and defended Delta Corvi better. Next go I would not have had many materials to even make a second ship. I was not a threat to you but you attacked me. I knew I couldn't win, so why not go out in style? So many things I could have done. I still get some VP's though don't i? Even if I am out at this stage? What happens to my hexes? Do they become explorable by you all, or do you just move a ship onto them to claim them?>

From there I chose to influence, then build orbitals etc.

Otherwise, I would have built two starbases to halt any incursions into my territory and moved a dread into vega. With CF attacking Delta Corvi she would have been in trouble.
