Did Tats pass yet?

If so what did you have in mind CF?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tatts provisionally passed. He'll probably confirm but it wouldn't hurt to double check. If Tatts' action wouldn't affect you, feel free to go ahead, twelve.

GRAHHH

I just had it all typed out, but on a second analysis I realize it won't do us any good. Sorry for holding you up anyway....I thought it was going to be a game changer.

THROUGH THE WORMHOLE! STICK TO PLAN A

Where are you headed? I have 3 moves available, though I'd like to only spend 2 if possible to save the moneys. Obviously this action I can put 2 interceptors in Zeta Chamaeleontis. It'd be a bonus if I could set up a base across the board since I have less ability to reach the important areas from my sectors, but really, it's probably more important that you do it given your superior ability to build stuff and better ship tech.

So i guess it comes down to: which system are we aiming for? IH's homeworld will be a tough nut with the starbase and potential support from 2 of drek's cruisers...or a sneaky move on her part that would jump her to our back door warp portal.

Actually, the more I look at it, the more I realize the obvious move is a full commit to Delta Corvi. It stops her from using the warp portal to access our territories, and allows us both to throw extra interceptors into the fight.

She has 2 moves left by my reckoning, which means she could put 2 cruisers in that square + 1 interceptor, and likely an upgrade to put missiles on the cruiser blueprint.

That would mean you'd have to use one of your moves to put missiles on your own cruiser (or else we'd be toast). Alternatively I could put missiles on my own interceptors at the last minute to ensure max damage in the opening salvo.

Indeed. All historians are actually a secret society of centuries-old conspiracy unfurlers, keeping the world safe from megalomaniacs and the supernatural both. Just don't go telling anyone, they all think I just spend the whole day in the library.

That we do. In between trying to take the world over through mafia.

Well here is what I'm thinking. I'm severley tempted to take Tats homeworld. He went and didn't build any ships to defend himself. I'm actually thinking of attacking Beta Hydri, Psi Capricorni and Capella this round. I'd lose 4 points with taking the traitor card and losing the diplomatic relation with both Tats and D'rek but I would gain 3 points back for Tats homeworld and then I would fight 2 battles so I would gain at a minimum of 2 points in reputation tiles so a net gain of 1 point at a bare minimum. Then I'm set up to drive for D'reks Homeworld next round.

But then we give IH another round to upgrade yet more ships to have an even better kick ass army then I do....

Fuck it!!!!

Move cruisers
Beta sextanis to beta centari
Beta sextanis to Mu Arae
Beta sextanis to Mu Arae
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I am open to counter-offers. And I may also simply sit back and see how things play out.

I could very well be without much of a fleet after this round and you sitting back, Khell, will probably win the game for you.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

@Twelve

what do you think about me putting 3 interceptors in Delta Corvi? I wouldn't win the square most likely but I'd have a good chance of killing one cruiser (at least, for the material damage) and if I'm really lucky the orbital could go down. Even if I lost both ships I would at least block her moving 1 of those cruisers in support of IH, and also block a possible incursion thru our own backdoor.

D'rek could you clarify that? Making a move of 2 ships to Delta corvi would pin your cruiser correct? Or would your orbital technically count as my pin, allowing you to move both cruisers. Basically, can you substitute your orbital as your pinned ship.?

Of course, I could always put my interceptors over in Zeta Chameleontis and support you in either of IH's systems next action. You could also take advantage of that interceptor of yours to free up your other cruiser.

Well, we'll see what the situation is next round. I'm keeping all options open, and have no issues with potentially winning as a team as opposed to individually.

I'm pretty sure the orbital would count as the pinned unit for D'rek. So bring the interceptors through the warp portal in Zeta Chameleontis for support next move. If we play this right we could knock IH down to two hexes.

Frankly, adding your score to mine and IH's would bring us down to last place with you... so what are you offering to make up for that?

I'm just not sure what you would really gain out of it. Right now you're sitting high and mighty while the rest of us duke it out. You can probably keep that up, gaining more and more points while we start fighting over the ones we have instead of gaining new ones. Averaging your score with CF and twelve would probably end up being a detriment, and you'd have to take the -5 of ending your current alliance in order to join a new one just to get started.

You don't get to decide which ships are pinned. As long as I leave the correct number of ships in the hex for the pinning I can move out whichever ones I want. My orbitals count as ships as long as I have a cube on them.
