I am completely serious though. If myself or EM are attacked, I will move everything against you. I will literally abandon my chances of winning to make sure you don't, and then D'rek/IH will win.

To put it in extra extra-simple terms: Attack us and you have ZERO chance of winning the overall game. Attack someone else, and you have some chance. A good chance.

It is my turn I believe. I am awaiting some answers from D'rek. This go hinges on whether I build/upgrade ships or build orbitals.

EM is very strong in his sector. Even with all the material I can commit this turn, I don't think I'd win the fight. It might bite me in the ass next turn when he decides he's going to take back Beta Leonis, but I'll have to worry about that then.


@Twelve. After judicious analysis:

1- We can just say forget about Beta Leonis, worry about getting it back later and go balls-out on IH if you want. I can get 8 interceptors there this round if needs be, but in that case we'd be forced to pretty much abandon hopes of getting back Beta Leonis altogether. It changes our front and leaves my systems far more open to attack and late-game expansion by EM. Not ideal.


2- we can continue our defense. I am the last one to research starbases and D'rek can't research them (D'rek can you confirm that actually? You can't build them but can you snipe the tech to prevent me getting it?)...and I can put 4 of em in Beta leonis, upgraded with high init missiles all over the place, next turn.

Ship tech isn't going to come out next turn that is ridiculously better than we/they have right now, so I'd even be fine with waiting for a MASSIVE FUCKING SHOWDOWN next turn, since it seems any major attack route we take this turn is going to end in us losing a system or two (at worst the GC).

Let's try the backdoor approach. I'll plop an interceptor through the wormhole on my next action. Do you want to aim for Delta Corvi and hurt D'rek directly or go for the far northeast wormhole and threaten IH's homeworld for next turn?

I know you're itching for combat so I'll let you decide that one.

If I can escape battling her at all I would. I could rake up an income of 24 science this go and use it to do major research next go. I see the downside to getting plundered by D'rek.

That is why I need to hear it from her. She didn't actually betray me on vega. She flipped the tile first so in theory it was her tile first. The second ancient I flipped so it should have been mine although I didn't have the strength to go up against her then. My play has been horrible this whole game, not thinking of consequences.

If you attacked the tile that you mentioned, Delta Corvi? AND I didn't attack her then she could go and play with you twelve and IH and leave me out of it.

Or it would be a nice distraction for her, forcing her to commit resources to both you and us, But then you have to trust we won't betray you and just move our ships elsewhere after you commit to Vega....weakening you and leaving you exposed in the final rounds.

Given your diplo with D'rek, if we're heading through the warp portal to the far northeast, it might be best for you to take your move immediately before she can mobilize forces and force you to break diplo in order to reinforce me.

I shouldn't matter to you for winning. Unless you plan to take my juicy Homeworld? D'rek couldn't contend with you or Twelve battle wise but IH can.

yeah. I'm not setting my sights on your territory that's for sure. I'm too far away to be a threat and the GC is too crucial for Twelve to devote resources your way.

Do what you need to. I have a plan A+ plan B for this and next turn now that basically doesn't depend on what anybody else does right now, as long as Twelve doesn't break our alliance or something crazy like that.
