Twelve opened the partial alliance with me, I can hope by distracting you last round and showing good faith this round he may accept me in the final round.

You can't form alliances in the final round. And any alliance with you is going to drag his point total right down.

You have doomed us all!

I have multiple VP's with my research coming my way. I can build monoliths soon, so I am thinking of gaining quite a few VP's so I am not going to approach them in my weakened state.

Seems possible - 4 monoliths = 12 points, plus 15 points if you can max your tech, plus a few here and there from hexes and reputation would put you at least above 30. High 30s or low 40s, potentially. That may or may not make you a leading player in points, depending on how the rest of the galaxy goes :p

When you use the Influence Action can you influence two hexes? So I could influence the two hexes I lost last go?

Yes to the first and no to the second.

You wouldn't be able to influence the 2-science hex that you lost because you have no ships or discs at it or adjacent to it (see the Influence description in the OP).

I'm surprised you didn't leave bombs for me, seeing as how my interceptors can go deeper into enemy territory, but I guess you can do the same with yours with a minor drive upgrade.

hmm....flux missile interceptors is a very cool prospect. Only problem is that it potentially keeps me from influencing Beta Leonis this turn if EM and Khell get together and mount some resistance.

I guess it will pay to keep it out of the hands of our enemies more than it will pay more to have a bit of extra money in the next few rounds.

Only issue is that it.........................oh wait, after looking again, it only costs 11 research, minus 3 in my grid technologies track. I was thinking I'd have to convert some materials to afford it.

Flux missiles + 1 victory point is much better than influencing a hex right this second methinks.

RESEARCH FLUX MISSILES.

Looking at the OP, the description for Point Defence is not very thorough, so here's the complete description from the rules:

Quote

Point Defense: After your opponent
has rolled and allocated
the dice for Missiles of one Ship
type, you get to fire all your Cannons
once against the incoming
Missiles before they hit your
fleet. Each die that hits destroys
a Missile. Your Computers affect
the Point Defense, but your opponent's
Shields do not.

So I would have to inf the disc next to it? The disco tile?

EM left a provisional to research Starbase, so that is what he does.

Back to Khell (who needs to decide on what to do with Jump Drive before he goes)!

That is my provisional when it comes around to me. Inf both those discs, the disco and the one to the far right.

Per the first page:

View PostD, on 14 January 2013 - 03:20 PM, said:

INFLUENCE

Part 1 - For each disc symbol above your INF action circle (everyone has 2):

Move an Influence Disc
From:
• your Influence Track, or
• a hex where you have an Influence Disc

To:
• an empty hex with a wormhole to a hex where you have a disc or a ship, or
• a hex where only you have a ship, or
• back to your Influence Track.

So you could place a disc in the empty hex (323), and then you would have a disc adjacent to the science hex so you could then influence it. Or you could fly a ship to the empty hex and use it to influence through the wormhole to the science hex.

It might be better to leave the Cannons on the interceptors and put the missles on the Cruiser blueprint but yeah keeping that tech out of the other's hands was the main motivator for you grabbing them. Plus they give a good inititive bonus.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I was wondering that. Initiative bonus all around or are they some kind of special missile init bonus...like my missiles get to fire first before the opponents.

or are missiles all fired simultaneously no matter what?
