you could put in a provisional if not. I'm pretty sure you are just going to move your Dread and Cruiser into the two ancient hex so putting in your action early won't hurt anything.

Nice But how are you planning on paying the upkeep? You are at a deficit right now. With a move and I assume settling that puts you at -10. Grabbing the money planet helps some but then you will have to remove an influence disk someplace else. My guess would be 202 Fomalhaut.... ah that's the plan. You swap the science planet from one system to another and if the Discovery tiles grants you money then you get to keep them both.

What I really want to know is what IH does this turn. He probably has to build. So does he build both his Dread and waste all of his Colony planets on a starbase so he builds both with one action or does he just build his dread in the hopes that he can use those colony ships to settle the Tier I planet and risk having to use a reaction to build a starbase?

No, I really just didn't think it through very good before taking the action. I was thinking "oh well CF passed already and I'm across the board from him so no point in passing now", except that there was another good reason to pass

Well at this point if you aren't going to attack IH you might as well move your cruisers to take the ancients to your north. You'll have to bankrupt one of your systems but at least resource wise it will be a wash. Plus you also gain a discovery tile to a net overal gain.

I forgot to factor in your upgrade action from the player sheets. I thought the research was the upgrade.

Yeah it's not worth it. I guess you have to cut your loses while you can. At least it's only 2 science that you are out. The loss of the tile isn't great but it's something you hopefully can recover from.

So did EM put in his provisional to you? Most likely it will get back to him before most of us sign off for the night. It would be nice to get a 3 action day in once in a while.
