@cf
Your only other option is to use an influence action to remove the two disks.

Ya, I was thinking of that inf action.
I'm currently at -3, and that last EXP put me at -5, so influencing the explored tile will put me at -7, then using an influence move next turn will temporarily put me at -10, then allow me to return 2 inf discs to the track, which leaves me at -5.
Do I have that all right?
If so I will influence the tile and take the item.

I'd like some clarification on this as well. I would rather play on this turn if there is a way without me bankrupting myself. I'd like to explore but i'll see what you guys say first.

So to clarify:
Bankruptcy means you must remove discs from the board until you are no longer bankrupt, this is how it plays out.
Tats has current expenses of -5, with a potential money total at the start of next turn of 6 (4 income, 2 from the bank), he is not bankrupt, but if he does another action he will be. Since his three claimed tiles are all good (2 or more planets) he doesn't want to give one of these up, so he should probably pass as another action will force him to remove a disc from one planet.
CF on the other hand has current expenses of -7 (assuming he claims the tile which he should), with a potential bank of 6 at the start of the next turn. He is therefore bankrupt, since two of his tiles aren't very good he wants to be bankrupt so he can recover those two discs, at the moment he can only recover one of those discs via bankruptcy, as removing 1 disc will take him out of bankruptcy. Doing one more action will push him further into bankruptcy, allowing recovery of two discs. If you do another action I would upgrade or research in preperation for next round, rather than influence as it would gain you nothing. However if two people haven't passed, there might be an arguement for you to pass first in order to go sooner and try and do a reaction to use another disc up.

Tats if you explore toward and settle so we can gain diplomatic relations you would be at -10 and with using a money population for your diploatic relations you would be at 6 production with 2 money in the bank so 8 money buty you would spend 10 forcing you to remove an influence disk on one of the planets you eplored. So it's a viable option but if we don't connect for diplomatic relations it puts you in a seriously bad position of having to remove multiple influence disks or being forced to convert 3 -1. Both options for you are just too risky.
CF Currently you have 3 money production and 3 in the bank for 6 total money. Right now you have spent 7 with your 4 actions and 2 planet systems. The two systems you have are worthless beyond the discovery tiles they give you. Right now you are bankrupt and you will remove one of the influece disks. If you explore and settle another time that would put you at 13 upkeep. Assuming we create diplomatic relations that would put your money situation at 7 to spend with 13 spent. You remove the two influece disks on the empty systems. Even if you run into the ancients or the wormholes don't conncet you'll be in the same situation as tats where you will be forced to remove your influence disk from your homeworld. Again to risky for both of you.
Frack!!!
So Tats, CF would one of you be willing to explore once more if I explore towards one of you this turn?

Actually CF could explore once more and not influence the tile as his next action if they don't line up as to not force himself to go too far into bankruptcy. I'll
explore south of Tats homeworld.
Align worm hole to connect with his homeworld if possible.

I will claim the tile for now and use the item.
Another explore in hopes of diplomacy is too risky this round twelve. We can save it for a few rounds down the road too and try to connect via the tier 1 wormholes.

But you should do another action like IH says. You can explore but you don't have to settle if it doesn't line up. Once you know if we can line up or not then you can settle it and gain additional money through diplomacy so you get to keep your new system and your homeworld while also losing the two worthless sectors. Wins all around.

An explore wouldn't be a bad strategy, if you hit a money/grey planet you are in the clear, if you connect to twelve you are also in the clear. If you don't hit any planets you'll at least get another discovery, and if you hit brown/pink you can just not settle, so you won't lose any tiles that you don't want to.
I'll probably not be around later, so assume my move is to explore the other tier 1. EM do you want diplomatic relations?

You uncover hex # 381
This is a hex from the expansion, so I don't know the exact details but I'm 99% sure it has a Warp Portal on it and probably a discovery tile and one planet slot. No idea about the wormhole connections. I'll post it in full when I get home for you to decide upon.

The discovery is: Flux Shield - a ship part with -3 shield and -2 energy consumption.
Let me know if you want to keep the points, keep the ship part for later or place it now (and where)

You uncover Hex 107 (Aldebaran). It has:
-2 VP
-a money slot
-an advanced materials slot
-an advanced science slot
Not sure on the wormholes, but being Tier 1 it probably has 4 or 5 of them.

Money! Place it and influence. Colonise the money planet. Orient the hex to connect to Khell and EM if possible.
If it comes back round to me soon (and sounds like it will with the many passes), explore north.
EM I'd like to make diplomatic relations if you want them (though I kindof want to see what I get in my next explore)

EM hasn't said anything about he wanted to orient his hex, so I'll assume he'll put the blank end toward CF as before, influence it and colonize with a money cube. If he wants anything else he'll have to tell me before his next action. Here's the image of hex 103:

@CF - you can't aim the wormholes of 316 south and southwest, because it would leave you nowhere to have explored it from:

@Twelve, here's 381, oriented for you to connect to Tatt:

Do you want to influence it and take the discovery tile?
---
@IH, I assumed you would want a wormhole pointing to the tier 2 spot in case no one else explores it.
--
and with that, it's EM's turn again.
I will update the map and boards shortly.
