How did you know about my collection of primates' testicles? Everybody has to have a hobby.
EXPLORE south-east of the hex I explored on my previous go.

Guys, when you submit actions or respond to hex draws or w/e, please give me all the relevant details. We've now gone almost all the way around the board back to IH and I have no idea how he wants to orient his hex, whether he wants to influence it or discard it, etc. Tattersail, you even made a seperate post indicating you want to to influence+colonize the hex, but not mentioning how you want to orient it? CF, build 3 interceptors where???!!!
Any hex I draw I will let you decide how you want to orient it. Is that okay?
Not really a good long-term policy. ie it might make a difference for twelve if he sees you setting up tons of half-wormholes towards him vs not doing so. By me deciding twelve or I don't get to try and read your intentions.
Yeah so what are your intentions? You talked about getting a development next round. Which one? What for? You asked for my advice on taking out the ancient tiles between you and D'rek yet you go research not what we talked about and then you go and explore.
You really don't seem to have any kind of goal in mind besides researching random things. I know that it's your first game and all but the goal is to have the most points by the end of the game. If you wanted to go strictly research route then you shouldn't leave yourself connected in so many different ways. If you were going to use your research ability to get cool military tech and then attack people to get reputation tiles (IE more victory points) then leaving multiple paths to enemy territories are probably a good option but you aren't really doing that.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Maybe his plan is to act like a confused mass-researching new player, then suddenly attack the entire galaxy at the end with super-upgraded dreadnaughts and cruisers and a maniacal laugh?

I'm trying my best to forumlate a plan here, but it's tough not knowing what type of things happen in the late-game. I only followed the Eclipse 1 thread up to about round 3.
I have a tentative plan for the next couple of rounds, but beyond that I'm fully in the dark and will likely be making reactive plays for the most part. Just trying to figure the best move for me at this point to gobble up (and hold onto) some more victory points. I mean, obviously Galactic Centre is a possibility, but I'm not sure if it's the best one. Neighbour-icide is always a possibility too, but I don't want to jeopardize the good working relationship I have with Twelve so far.
Maybe the True Path will become more obvious as the game goes on. I mean, I don't really have enough worlds to turtle and win on research, and i don't really have the materials atm for a massive millitary campaign, so high-tech cheap ships seem like a good plan
I'm out for a few hours. will check in as soon as i can.
For my provisional action, MOVE two interceptors to the sector due S of G.C.

You can probably expect battles between players to begin occuring in another round or two as they ancients and explorations run out, and then things will escalate more as people start getting their fleets built up. I imagine there will either be chaos on all sides, or else it'll become one alliance vs another.

Interesting - I guess that's one hex I can remove an influence tile off of should I ever need to. Lay the hex as is and influence. What's the discovery?

So we are back to IH, who still needs to decide what he wants to do with Canopus, and then needs to take his next action.

Nope. You can either immediately put it on your ship blueprints now, or you can keep the part and do it later with the upgrade action like any other part you have access to. But you only get one ship part tile for it, and once placed it can't be moved around, only removed (permanently).
The part has no energy costs, so you can put it pretty much anywhere.

An offer I receive on a daily basis.
I'll place the Ion Missiles immediately on my interceptor blueprints, empty square. Give those little critters some initial usefulness.
