Another option is to take advantage of Mac and Cheese throwing their resources my way, and nab back your territories. I lose points, they lose points...hopefully they're not able to make up the ground.

D'rek, IH, how would you like to block up those gaping holes called Delta Eridani and Canopus? Or, even better yet, fill Mu Arae with ships

I'm trying to ringfence the immediate vicinity of the shellworld, but if we can just block up the entryways to my space, it'd boost our chances of taking out Pinky and the Brain tenfold.
