@Khell,
oh sorry...misunderstood. I thought you had moved a ship to the far northeast warp portal hex and that it might be a move to block our entry via that route or to sneakily attack before I could get a ship in place to block you. I see now your intentions were not aggressive at all and I apologize for my harsh words. I too have no ill intentions toward your civilization unless provoked.
@ Tats,
Don't let that interceptor deter you. You should probably do a build anyway to ensure victory and establish some staying power in Vega cos god knows you've got the materials for it. If you, say, built a dread and an interceptor, then left 2 interceptors in your system threatened by D'rek's interceptor, then you'd be set and her ship would be trapped. Plus immediate influence and colonization of Vega would net you 2 moneycubes and a materialcube. I can't be arsed to do all the calculations but it seems viable and any deficit could be made up with material conversions if absolutely necessary.
@ Twelve,
This time around the board leaves me with a quandary with what to do. I can put an interceptor through the warp portal right now and reinforce it with ships from my build action. Those ships could stay there and chill out until next phase, allowing me to influence and occupy the sector, or they could continue to move and try to do some economic damage to IH. (Khell...no intention on swinging south, no worries).
Thing is I'd probably have to do it now to take full advantage, and could probably use some support from your ships. Do you want to try a sneak assault?
Alternate option might be to go for Drek's lightly defended Delta Corvi, but would require a heavier commitment on our part to keep the hex afterward.
Sorry about the delay. I had training that I forgot about and it went longer than I expected.

I'll let you lead the assualt and I will have your back. I'm trying to decide if I should throw antimatter cannons on my Dreads or upgrade my interceptors with source and drives. It all really depends on who we are attacking. Right now you want to make a push against IH and/or D'rek and I would be totally down with either. If you move backdoor into IH's territory, preferably his homeworld, that would force him to choose where to defend and improve our chances of defeating him. I have been eyeing the warp portal hex as well for backdoor assaults as well but I didn't want leave the center with just two starbases and a handfull of interceptors agaisnt IH.
With Tats working on D'rek we can take the fight to IH and put some serious hurt on their aliance. My only concern is the two dreads that EM has at your border. If you had some starbases to defend I would feel better about attacking north. But I'll follow whereever you lead.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
