David Mack's The Midnight Front is 2.99$ on Kindle.

Sounds like Tregillis BITTER SEEDS. Grabbed it. Love WWII based fantasy stuff.

David Mack's The Midnight Front is 2.99$ on Kindle.

Both look quite good, blurbwise at least.

Nowhere near as good as the Tregillis series, though.

GraphicAudio.net has a 2 for 1 sale on earbook series' til June 4.
https://www.graphica...series-set.html

Also, 35% off individual earbooks til May 31.

I usually find the prices higher than Audible, but the series sale brings the price nicely down depending on what you buy.

ETA it appears that if you do the 241 series sale, you still get 35% off the more expensive series.

One of my fave authors, only book of hers I didn’t have. Thanks for the heads up pat!

Tor.com's free ebook of the month, for Pride Month, is another "In Our Own Worlds" collection: https://ebookclub.tor.com/

This one collects the following novellas:
Katharine Duckett's Miranda in Milan
Seanan McGuire's Every Heart a Doorway
Lina Rather's Sisters of the Vast Black
Kai Ashante Wilson's Sorcerer of the Wildeeps

Doorway is great, I've heard good things about Wildeeps, and Vast Black intrigues me.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
―Gene Wolfe, The Citadel of the Autarch

Reminder that Neal Asher is a virulent climate change denier and a fucking asshole about it. If you can avoid giving him money, do so. His books aren't worth supporting him.
