Ekaterina Sedia's excellent The Secret History of Moscow is 6.99$ on Kindle.

It was number 2 in my Top 10 of 2008. Well worth a read!

I vaguly remembered Pat's positive rev and looking into the book sure enough there it is in my wishlist. A further quick google produced this absolute gem of a blurb for her later 2010 book....

I liked the first book a lot, Macros did not. That's about what I can input. I own the other two but have not gotten round to them yet. It's been long enough that I forget the first book, so I may audible credit it to refresh myself quickly.

Also support of Durfee is good because he has a decent and positive and informative YT channel where he reviews books (usually older fantasy ones) and he's had some health problems that he could use the money for including his eyesight failing I think? Seems like a genuine dude.
