This is tremendous.
The only minor criticism I have is that the facial shadows look a bit too solid - as if she's wearing a Magneto mask - and her waist is missing on the right side.

I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I like the concept but the armour is... Impractical. I get decorative armour but this looks more like lingerie.
The wings work and i like the 'cold' expression on her face.

It's called "lingarmourie", don't you know?
but are they worth preserving?

I wanted to enhance her alienness sort of, but I can try to soften them up a bit, if ever I get the time. And yes, the pose is sort of awkward. I wanted to go for an Evening Mood type thing, but I made her hips a lot more angular, so her waist kinda got lost somewhere...le sigh.

I wanted to do her naked originally, but I think someone on the forum requested armour. But seriously, you are complaining about too much boob?
Thanks!

I hope you don't mind, I found a couple of refs that might be useful, especially for softening the facial and neck shadows. I find the plains of the face hard to depict at that angle.

Nope. I'm 'complaining' because it looks like her outfit is stabbing her in the boobs and it's an odd outfit for a character who usually appears entirely armoured.

Wasn't this picture originally designed as "partially veered"?? I seem to recall that in the original thread: Original Thread .
So perhaps the armor she'd normally be shown in is being absorbed into her being (as is given credence in TCG when Tulas Shorn tells Silchas Ruin about the sword he carried becoming a part of him when he veers)
Which is not to say that the armor doesn't appear sort of creepy.. but it kinda looks like it's becoming part of her skin, hence the shape of the ribs poking through... At least that's how I interpret the drawing.

Ah, excellent! Thank you

The few times we see her she´s armoured yes, this is more of a leisurely outfit
It´s a concept piece, I never meant for it to be accurate, like I do in my other Malazan paintings. But I´m toying with the idea of doing her justice with full armor, sword, axe and flaming horse of doooooom!
I´ll also do the other two as conceptual pin-ups...just for fun.

In GotM when Anomander Rake shapeshifts that's pretty much what happens, the armour transforms as well as if it was organic. I don't have the page number though, but I thought of this thread when I came across the passage.
but are they worth preserving?
