If we parse the "kiddies" post to mean real children then the "Beliebers" would seem to indicate "teenage girl". In the plural.

Poor Tellan. Lynching would seem to be a step up in your day.

I wouldn't lump poor children in with you sods.

You are the ritalin kiddies with you crazy mood swings and ADHD voting.

Ah. In that case bugger off. :p

I am here.

In the Nepeth Empire, Pharaoh commanded the priests of Basket to start evacuating their temple. It is hard to catch cats, especially when they don't want to leave, and it took months to round up the little animals, some of whom had gone feral while their priests feasted on ground beef intended for the sacred cats of the Goddess. With the exodus underway, a sudden grip of fervor was reawakened in the temples.

The Nepeth Empire is Sacrosanct.

An ancient relic was unearthed by a sandstorm: an old book, describing the rule of Mehmet the Mean, Sorceror Prince of ancient Rur. Its location was close to the Road to Ishktar, and under the guidance of worshippers of the Sage, expeditions were organized to the Road. An ancient city was found - pristine, its libraries intact. And then, just when the priests dedicated a temple, another sandstorm buried the entire area again. It was whispered that this was the ghost of Mehmet protecting his legacy, and imams declared the fury of the Sun prophet was at work here, protecting the believers from powerful magic wielded by heretics. The truth was much more mundane: I had cast a spell. The world is not yet ready for Mehmet's writings. Even so, a cult dedicated to the Sorceror Prince had risen, and declared the Road a sacred place.

The Road to Ishktar is sacrosanct.

It is 1 AM here, my inbox exploded while gone, and I have been petitioned to allow players more time to react to day action results. As such, I'll resolve those and move on to battle/dusk/night actions in the morning.

Well played Tellan, well played. Just remember that I didn't vote for you when you descend with your righteous wrath!

So we have three Sacrosanct areas...Karosis, Fener, and Tellan??

Well, one of them is definitely Tellan (Nepeth Empire), and one of them is definitely Karosis or Fener (The Mirror).

So, someone with a less tired brain explain why the Road to Ishktar was made sacrosanct.

Serves you right for leaving in the first place. ToD is your life, until whatsoever time it finishes!

Alternatively, to help ease the burden on yourself, you could just write a scene describing a random plague running rife through the lands, spreading death and devestation - and obliterating half the players :p

I think I can.

The person who sacro'd the road is not the person who started the hadj from the mirror but is caught up in that one. They weren't certain which tile needed to be lynchproof. Did sacro go up on the mirror today or was that a "if we lynch X, then they will sacro"?

I suspect that plague might happen mid December. :p

Sacro did go up on the Mirror.

That explanation doesn't really make sense, as they must have been aware that they wouldn't reach the Road until after day's end (dusk), so there's no point in Sacroing it after the voting period is over.

Edit: Or is it battle before dusk?? Fuck's sake.

I don't expect it to happen, but it would be really helpful if the Bey would tell us how many folks are in each hadj.

He could always sell the information on the Bazaar...although then again only one other person would know.

batlle then dusk. but your question is why I think the sacro went up on the road. Somebody wasn't certain either. So they covered their bases. Not really a question they could ask in thread.

OR

one of the possible lynch targets from today is sitting on the road.

Oh, there is a plan in place to force players to interact a bit more with a higher degree of success, but I won't activate it just yet. Desperate measures, et cetera.

I am not going to pretend to even try to figure out how the Hadjs and Sacros on the road and mirror work with anything or anyone. It's all just potato salad to me...

Colour me intrigued. And slightly hungry.
