Do we keep hammering Fener quickly then or not? Although we won't have the numbers, not if we all cannot vote for him.

The question is, why use Hadj to get to the Mirror? I understand using it to get back, because you want to take others with you, but why use it to get there? If it is a CoV player, they use Worship to move around anyway. A Qadi is presumed to have started up there, but why would they go to the trouble of saving anyone else?

Priority list. "There's something with me on ND that I need to keep an eye on. There's Spite on the mirror about to be lynched. How do I save Spite but keep control of what's on ND with me."

Hell if I know Amp. Now I'm glad we have an extended break coming. I think by the time PS calls time freeze this evening, we're all going to be very, very sick of trying to figure out what is going on.

Damn good game Tapper. A mental game that doesn't drive its players at least half way around the bend is no fun. :twoguns:

hmmmmmmm

A player on the ND tile can only be targeted by another player on the same tile. Make one slight modification to the previous statement. "There is SOMEBODY with me on ND that I control somehow. If i leave the ND to go put Sacro on Spite, I lose targeting on the somebody I'm controlling. Hadj forces that somebody to move with me."

It is Day 5. 35 hours and 59 minutes remaining

16 Players still alive: Ampelas, Anomandaris, Atrahal, Emurlahn, Fener, Galain, Karosis, Olar Ethil, Ruse, Silanah, Sorrit, Spite, Telas, Tellan, Tennes, Tulas Shorn

9 votes to lynch, 8 votes to go to night.

Players not voted: Ampelas, Anomandaris, Atrahal, Emurlahn, Fener, Galain, Karosis, Olar Ethil, Ruse, Silanah, Sorrit, Spite, Telas, Tellan, Tennes, Tulas Shorn

I hope resolution went OK. You can see from the time I spent on it (over 2 hours) that it was a tough affair.
Any updates missing, PM me.

FUCKING BIG HUGE IMPORTANT CAPS-WORTHY REQUEST:

Update your Item and Retainer thingies, people. Especially the Destruction Queue.

The game is going into production/destruction overdrive right now and as it stands, I had to resolve Retainer destructions by rolling a die and assigning numbers to each Retainer. That will screw you over unless you prioritize.

In the same vein, players forget to name phases in their action PMs. NAME THEM!
Last night, one player would be dead if resolved one way, and alive if resolved another.
I believe in benefit of the doubt (hence no CF), but I won't do that anymore after this warning.

Also, the Death as Payment quest has been resolved.

Waiting on the player who completed it to choose their reward.

Also, with Thanksgiving in mind, I'll freeze the clock tonight, to be unlocked again on monday. When I have time, I may slowly try and fill in some blanks in SH - with over a hundred PM threads, there's plenty of stuff to be posted there.

A new quest opens up.

Death as Payment
Steps to fulfill in order:
- Preparation: pay 2 Worship and 2 Weapons
- Travel: travel to the Mirror
- Preparation: pay 2 magic
- Scouting: use 1 Retainer
- Single Combat: win an assassination as the attacker against a CS 2 opponent.

Rewards (choose 1 of the 3 options below):

1. The Night Shrine (item).
2. The Dark Lord's Blessing (title)
3. Walk in the Sun's Light (title)

Quote

The Night Shrine
Value: 25000 dinari
UNIQUE.
Ownership of the Night Shrine is cancelled at the end of each game.
While owned by a Night Prophet player, all assassinations are 2000 dinari cheaper.
While owned by a player of another faction, all assassinations are 2000 dinari more expensive.
Special: once per day/ night cycle, produce 1 Shaving of Black Marble (item). P-S rolls a die. At 1, 3, 5 it is put on the bazaar for a cost of 500 dinari. At 2, it is given to a member of your faction. At 4, it is given to member of a different faction. At 6, the Shaving becomes a Shaving of White Marble (item).

OR

Quote

Gain the title: Blessed by the Dark Lord. You can use the Prayer action for 2 less Worship when you pray to the Dark Lord, and praying to the Dark Lord does not cost an action. You also gain +1 CS, permanently.

OR

Quote

Gain the title Beloved of the One: As long as you pray to the One God for at least 1 Worship per day/night cycle, you heal 1 Life Point per phase, and you have +0/+1 Life Points in addition to all other effects of praying.

Wow. Yesterday really was a behind-the-scenes clusterfuck free-for-all of crazy shit happening.

The thread wasn't half-bad either :twoguns:

Thanks Emur, I was struggling to find that myself.

Ok, new crazy theory.

Night Prophet player at Northern Desert. Needs to get to Mirror to complete quest. Doesn't have whatever it is NPs use to travel with, but has shedloads of Worship. Uses that instead.

Spite was the one who sacrosancted the Mirror, but then wound up getting carried back to the Northern Desert by the NP purely by mischance.

Edit: NPs use Weapons to move.

With the re-occupation of the monasteries, festivities and re-sanctifications went on all through the desert.
The Northern Deserts are Sacrosanct.

PS, how many votes does it take to rename ND to Mordor?

With a war looming, merchants starting buying whatever might be needed to survive in these trying times. The Square of the Camels, already the setting out for many an expedition, became the hub of a trade in camels, horses, mules, oxen, goats and other livestock. The fields outside Madeena were filled with herds of foals for the Mamluk Cavalry regiments, the roads full of livestock being driven to the water driven butchery of al-Hafiq.

Central Administration: Livestock is in effect on the Square of the Camels.

You'll need a big bad guy breeding lots of smaller nasties there first.....

Oh, that's already in place? Well, 17 votes ought to do it.

A powerful man met his end at the blade of an unknown stranger. The man Jabari, also known as The Red Blade's Tip, long suspected to be a member of an assassination chapter, was slain last night while he was on a mission. City Guard detachments came upon his remains, which were spread all along the shore of the Mirror: a leg here, an arm there, the head mounted on top of a pike just outside the city gates. According to the letter stuffed in his mouth, which resembled a (poorly spelled) assassination contract, Jabari was after the life of the daughter of a local imam. The grateful clergy immediately declared the stranger to be a Beloved of the One God.

Ironically, really. I know he is none such.

Wow, has someone finally died, or is P-S just screwing with us? Why no CF or anything? Guessing this is just flavour text of some sort?

If this is the case, and given all the hijinks around being able to vote Fener or not that happened yesterday, I'm betting that the person who finished the quest is either Fener or one of the fabulous five. So Night Prophet in that crew.

I'm betting that Spite and Fener are CoV, so that narrows it down a bit more.
