Game Thread: Tales of the Desert 1.0 The Crossroads of Ishktar

The first contingents of the Nepeth finally started their march, with Ishktar as their first destination. In their wake, treasure hunters, scavengers, bandits and plunderers moved in - or tried to. The White Foal struck the looters hard at first, taking what they could, and more than one party of would-be parasites were left dead on the sand dunes by the horsemen, who treated it as an exersize in warfare.
Those who escaped the riders ran into large concentrations of Nepeth troops, holding farms and villages as if they were fortresses. Nonetheless, one enterprising tomb raider, a young woman called La'ra, managed to enter a fairly new-found pyramid, dedicated to a minor courtly figure. She emerged with a text written in the hand of the Sun Prophet himself. Imams in Madeena moved quickly, and the border area was declared sacrosanct.
The Nepeth Empire is now sacrosanct.
Anyone on this tile cannot be lynched during this phase.

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Tellan on Nepeth Empire tile?
Well, well, well. (By the way, nice La'ra reference Taps

That has to be someone who felt they could be a lynch target today. So, who do we have? Tellan, Anomandaris, Tennes, Karosis have votes that I remember. Am I missing anyone? I would also throw Spite and Silanah in there.

Also, it suggests that at least one of those is Nepeth I think.

Hey guys I am around. Sorry for inactivity yesterday. Work was busy then we went to the pub after and drunk posting on Mafia is a no no. specially in a game this complicated.
Alright, I think the Tellan case is kind of rubbish, but I am also willing to vote there to get a lynch today. I am betting he is the one who used Sacrosanct. So I am now working with the assumption that he is Nepeth and has a way to regularly create Worship. Anyway, I think we should try to lynch him anyway, to confirm that he is on the tile. Even if we don't actually lynch him, we will still get all kinds of useful information about him.

I think it's funny that someone silenced the most vocal player on thread. I also think it's funny that this hasn't at all hindered his ability to communicate with us. It's frustrating having to figure out just what he means, but he's pretty good at getting what he's saying across regardless of the silencing.
That being said, what do people thinking of attempting to lynch Tellan anyway? I think the Nepeth tile thing HAD to be him. He was the one getting the most pressure, really, excepting MAYBE Tennes. But I don't think there was really a chance that a Tennes lynch train would leave the station, whereas Tellan's already 1/3 of the way to lynch town.
vote Tellan

I'm here, I'm just debating where to place my vote. I think what you said makes sense, although it's also possible that one of the others with 1 vote on them just got very jumpy. Which means they treasure their role very highly indeed.
I'm also betting that whoever is the one who initiated the Sacrosanct is also the person who bought those 3 Worship which were on the market.

Hmm, and leading on from that, those Worship were bought quite a while ago - so this was in the planning for some time? Or at least bought as a contingency measure. Which again suggests someone who's been in the spotlight for longer than some others.

He's saying we're running out of time and should vote, and we should vote Tellan (I think that's his avatar...?).
We have about 9 hours left, so no need to panic yet.
