Game Thread: Tales of the Desert 1.0 The Crossroads of Ishktar

I just had a crazy thought.
What if we did something crazy like all the top 9 posters form an on thread alliance and start speed lynching all the low posters until people start getting their mafia on. That would get peoples attention. Though that would be a dumb way to approach the game but this thread needs a serious jolt.

Ruse has more posts than the bottom 8 players combined. That is just crazy.

Hmm, Ruse silenced. Interesting. But not as interesting as this!
Ladies and gents, the spamometer! I've generally tried to be very lenient about what does not constitute spam, even the smallest amount of original somewhat game-related content makes an otherwise spam-filled post not count as spam in this measurement. On the other hand, sole repetition of previous statements, and reponses to spam even if they're serious (like telling people not to spam or to contribute more), themselves count as spam. This is up to post #439. So here we go:
Anomandaris 88% (7/8 posts are spam)
Emurlahn 86% (6/7)
Spite 86% (12/14)
Tennes 83% (5/6)
Telas 79% (15/19)
Silanah 73% (11/15)
Tellan 70% (14/20)
Olar Ethil 67% (8/12)
Ampelas 67% (14/21)
Ruse 56% (56/100)
Tulas Shorn 55% (12/22)
Galain 53%(10/19)
Atrahal 51% (23/45)
Karosis 46% (11/24)
Sorrit 39% (19/36)
Fener 31% (5/16)
Path-Shaper 25% (13/51)
So, as it turns out, low posting does in general correlate to low-content posting
Seriously, some of those are shocking.
Edit: changed 'contribute' to 'correlate'.

the amount of time it must have taken you to do that... oh my. On the plus side, Ruse owes me a foundation. Pay up!
Honestly, the thread seems like a after thought at this point. I'd be down for lynching a low (er) poster. As the modkills have happened, and participation hasn't risen too much I'm willing to switch my views.

lets see how far down this rabbit hole goes.

The fuck is this?
Anybody got something they want me to like rebut? Or are you just going to lynch me for fun? If it's the latter, fair enough.

It looks like my initial suspicions of Tellan wasn't too far off where he was in the middle of post counts but most of what he says doesn't say much of anything if what Atrahal has put together is even close to accurate.

@ Tellan.
I believe Sorrit has...well, not a case, but a bad feeling about you. It had a slight feeling of having done a find on you and not liking what they found (I agree with Ampelas on this).
My spamometer suggests we go for Anomandaris. In all honesty, any of the top five would do for me.

No one has said jack shit other than a few vague accusations. If you want to pretend otherwise, fine, but it's ridiculous. Now, if you want to say someone did a find on me, probably the person who started the train, and you are awfully sure I'm not of your faction as well, have at it. Otherwise, say something I can fucking rebut or admit it is just fucking about.
I have no idea who my faction are, if I've interacted with them it was completely by chance, so have fun.

It's a faction game without any information on thread really. There's no real direction for us to take the game in right now, so there isn't going to be any case really. Even if someone got outed as a power role, well, most people will be unwilling to lynch out of concern they'd accidentally lynch their own teammates, unless they know who their teammates are.
I think that whoever gets lynched will be pretty arbitrary, but it can give the game somewhere to go afterward at least. Right now all the activity on thread is pretty stagnant.

Why doesn't anyone notice that there are very few players willing to randomly throw around their vote? Doesn't it make sense they might be privy to who their teammates are or have more knowledge in general than the rest of the thread?

What I want is more of a read on you. I have no clue if you are on my faction or not. Is there a faction that you would like to target? Is there a player that you think may fall into a group of factions you wouldn't mind seeing eliminated if you want to be vauge. It seems people won't talk unless there are a number of votes on them. I want some direction just as much as you.
I've even thought that maybe we should ask everyone to name one faction they would vote to lynch just to give people something to think about or talk about. Would people be interested in doing something like that?

Those also tend to be the higher posters, as well, and hunting low-content posters tends to make them talk.
Though Tellan has more posts than I do, so that might not be the best target for that kind of strategy. Unless, of course, Sorrit knows something about you he isn't telling us.

I'm betting everyone would say Qadi, whether that was the truth or not.

I don't know jack about Tellan. I would be just as willing to put pressure on any of the low posters to get something out of them. Picking Tellan was more about him standing out to me on day one as someone that seemed to be joking around a lot just to have a precence on thread but was keeping everything very close to his vest. I wanted to find out what secrets he would spill if he was poked.

Regarding Ruse, there's only a few powers that can Silence. I'm going to have a look through the Encyclopedia to see if I can narrow down what faction could have silenced Ruse, and, consequently, what faction Ruse might not be in (though, of course, the silencer might not have known if Ruse is or isn't in his own faction).
