Man I hated Topanga the character. So irritating. But as a guy growing up in the 90s, I was also in love with her boobs.

Here's the thing... it doesn't really matter whether Fener is the cause of those abilities or not. One way or another we have five players who can't vote fener (and also can't target him???). Whether or not Fener caused it he is now very strong as a result. If we do nothing about it and two or three of the people who can vote Fener die then there are aren't enough people left alive for it to be even possible to lynch him. So whether or not he caused it he is still benefitting substantially from it and needs to be nipped in the bud.

That being said I do think he is the source. Even if someone out there had an ability to make Player X not able to vote/target Player Y unless they pay him 3 worship it makes no sense for it to be a one-time 5-at-once ability and not a once-per-night ability. But Fener being a Qadi or possibly a high-powered CoV and it being an ability where as soon as he summons his personal Djinn he uses this ability once on 5 players of his choice makes perfect sense to me.

I see your point. In a game where each player has unique and powerful abilities,, personal protection is quite important. So it makes sense for there to be an ability making certain players unable to hurt you. At least more sense than being able to protect someone else from being hurt.
Also, has anyone considered that some players could be lying about the ability being used on them, or that the ability happened to some players on different days or phases but they came out with the info after the first person did?
Those possibilities make the power seem a little less OP.

Judging from how it went down on thread it'd be near impossible for more than 1 or 2 of them to be lying.

And assuming all were honest if it was a progressive ability (and I doubt that based on the way people brought it up) then it was possible for the user to target multiple people per cycle - meaning the entire thread could be incapable of voting Fener by day 7 or 8... doesn't seem likely to me unless the cost of the ability is 20 Monuments and 40 Artefacts.

Possible, but you had most us identify separate factors of each aspect to it, lending credibility to each claim. I can only vouch for when I got mine, and it seemed to coincide with what others were saying.

Fair enough. I guess the ability is a mass targeting one. Maybe it's a single use thing, and can target a certain amount of players depending on how many are alive in total like the voodoo master's demon in Zombies.
