I think it's tied into the belief that Emu was trying to deflect votes from Tellan on that day when he said we might as well lynch him as he'll be modkilled anyway. Emu has since explained himself, and I'm willing to believe him on that count, but I think he's done a few other things that tie him to Tellan, though pretty loosely.

The strongest tie atm is his single minded drive away from the alliance block that is securing his place in my mind
