We are driving down to Victoria at the end of the fortnight and staying there for 3.5 weeks before driving back. It's a 20 hour drive. Ripley travels fairly well but we've never driven for anywhere near that long. If it was just Matador and I we would drive it in one go but that doesn't feel plausible.
I'm looking for suggestions on ways to keep Rip entertained while we are driving. We plan to stop regularly at parks and rest stops etc but whilst he is in the car I need to keep him interested in stuff. He's an extremely kinaesthetic kid so I'm not looking for to the drives much. Also, Matador is the only driver so I'll be the one trying to keep him amused.
So far I have his LeapReader books, a clip light and glow-in-the-dark shapes for night driving, and a magnet activity book (that's at most an hour of entertainment

). We also have his DS, Leappad, and Ipad but I'd prefer to hold off on using them as much as possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

And you're not complaining, you're criticizing. It's a side-effect of being better than everyone else, I get it sometimes too.
