So I finished RotCG today and came in here to see what people have to say about it... and the threads are all full of spoilers including spoilers from books that came out after RotCG....

Isn't there some rule on this forum about not posting obvious spoilers without warning?

I'd like to know what people think about the book but I'm afraid to go into any of the threads because I already saw something I shouldn't have..

This book was released AFTER Toll the Hounds, despite taking place "before" or at the same time as Toll. Thus, you'll have people talking about Toll in it.

If you have any other spoilers, just report them. An Admin will get to them.

There shouldn't be spoilers for Toll anymore though out in the open. If you go back a while you'll probably run into them. First page should be safe. You can always start a thread too if you want, that'll definitely be spoiler free.

You should go through the thread and retroactively neg rep every post that includes a spoiler, regardless of what HD said about the timing. It'll be fun!

TtH came out first? Really?

I thought the way the books were listed on the forum was based on when they were published.... shit...

Anyone mind telling me the publishing order from Reaper's Gale onwards? I'd like to read them in that order

Reaper's - Toll - RotCG - DoD - Stonewielder - TCG.

If memory serves. Stonewielder might have come out after TCG. Christ, I can't remember anymore.

RotCG was SLATED to come out first, but didn't for some reason. Problem with the publishing, iirc. Some people got the deluxe and it DID come out before Toll.

Recommend reading DoD and TCG together, by the way. Then Stonewielder.

Cool. Thanks hoosier.

I started TtH tonight and the prologue was awesome. Really excited to finish Erikson's books, especially since I have no idea where the series is headed.

RotCG was pretty decent imo... some parts were really good and some parts were really weak. Hopefully Stonewielder and OST are better

SW and OST are both better than RotCG -- but can be maddening in their own individual ways, potentially. I'm at least pretty fond of all of them.

I liked RotCG more than SW, but I like all of them.
Laseen did nothing wrong.

I liked Stonewielder, but OST was like stunning hit to head. Weak book, I remember reading tons of pages, but none from it.

Pretty sure Stonewielder came out December 2010, and TCG came out February 2011, so you're right.

I preferred ROTCG to them all, but there are some cool as shit action scenes in SW, and you know, Greymane. :p OST was a bit meh, to be honest.

Pretty sure the Subterranean Press edition of RotCG came out before TtH.
