So ... according to well-defined Apt Logic™, does that actually mean this is a brilliant show?

Well......

No but seriously, you can't argue that this show isn't terribly inconsistent.

The Arrow gives a phone to the police telling them, don't bother to try and track it I am using military technology. Then every other episode you have MIT girl hacking military grade hardware, breaking state of the art encryption and doing it in a matter of minutes.

Every episode you have The Arrow worrying about the lies he tells and then gets FURIOUS when somebody lies to him! HOW DARE THEY! Then he lies to somebody else and gets upset that they angry with him for lying.

Every 5 or so episodes the Arrow goes from being madly in love with lawyer girl to totally being over her for good this time. Then he fucks random girl in the show and decides, no I really love Lawyer girl but he can't be with her because Arrow is dangerous. Then the next episode he is together with some other girl because he really loves her. But it's DANGEROUS!

The Arrow NEVER MISSES except for every time they need the bad guy to get away so that they can have another scene where the bad guy probably gets away. The Arrow is not a murderer but he kind of is but it's necessary but he doesn't want to kill people. So he kills 12 guards but then arrests the major bad guy because he wants to send the message that the Arrow is not a killer and killing is not the right thing to do.

This show is bullshit condensed into entertainment.

That said, I love how they built up Deathstroke. He's got to be the coolest TV villain I have yet to see.

I agree with Apt. That's why I dont want to start watching the Flash cause its bound to be worse than this and I dont know if I can take two of these shows.
No Touchy.

Apt is right on all points. This is not a smart show, but it is fun!

@Apt - definitely the "waaah waaah I murder people blazenly" tone from the first season is quite weird, and that leads into the second season being all "I have to not kill anyone". Eventually it all balances out and isn't so annoying.

But Felicity never stops being able to hack everything in the world just by spamming a keyboard :unworthy:

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

As much as felicity the magic hacker pushes my 'but that's not realistic' button, I really enjoyed this weeks episode of felicity the magic hacker (or the secret origin of felicity smoak). Have to say she's my favorite part of the show, she really elevated flash when she appeared in it too. I'm enjoying this series so far, I do wonder what direction they are planning to go in though, and whether we're going to get an atom spin off series with ray palmer. On a side note how many superheroes is felicity going to be a romantic interest for now, we're on 3 already...

THAT'S IT!

The Secret origin of the Justice League - it's just like the League of Evil Exes in Scott Pilgrim, except these guys and girls decided to fight for Justice.

All getting together to commiserate over Felicity and fight crime.

If Zack Snyder could work her into just one scene of Bats v Supes, it would be the best movie in the history of ever.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

So, given that they may be doing a Flash spin off from Arrow......

Could DC actually be planning to utilise TV shows to build the universe then jump into movies?

Essentially taking the opposite direction to Marvel?

Thoughts?

I could see this. Expose a bunch of current folks to these shows + long time comic people.= win.

If done right...yeah it would work. The only problem is Marvel might oversaturate the market...might.

DC has stated more than once that the movie verse and tv-verse are separate and not to merge.Sure, they could change their minds, but that seems to be the going plan.
