Welp, those were the only technologies on the board that interested me and I could afford. Guess I'm not going to be doing much research this turn unless I get a nice discovery tile.

Ment, on the other hand, has a lot of science stashed away...

Well, Fusion drive is still available. 2 in movement and 2 in initiative is nothing to scoff at.

We should find a time that we can all be online on the weekend and go through a couple rounds or something, or else we're not going to finish before Christmas! :)

Whilst we are waiting for Ment to arrive, can someone explain two things to me:

1. If i upgrade I can put two improvements on just one ship, or one improvement on two different ships? The rules didn't seem quite clear

2. What happens if three different players are in the same square, or two different players and an ancient in terms of combat?

2 upgrades. Where you chose to place them are not important.

The second and third to enter fight each other first. The winner fights the first to enter. The winner of that scrap fights the ancients.

I don't think so...

(but yes, it definitely resets after all the combats - probably a step in the clean-up phase)

@Morgy - was there 2 plasma cannons available, and now 1 because IH took one, or was there just 1 and the current tech image above is not yet updated?

Also, you're still showing Tapper with two reputation tiles.

On examining the rules, damage is repaired at the end of the combat round, so damage would remain between two battles in the same sector.

Just wondering,

How close are you folks to finishing this game? Looks like its turn-based nature lends itself to the forum.

I'd play the next round if you are looking for new players. Looks like a very interesting game.

EDIT - Haha....just realized that the latest board posted was Round 2.

I guess I have awhile to wait.

Hm, well it's a shame but we should be thinking about finding a replacement for Ment. Seems to me that the rest of us are active enough that finding a playing red would make it possible to finish the in an orderly fashion.

Anyone following this thread want to try out? Red is in a somewhat weak position, but things change quickly, and the guarded systems are very valuable. We're just 1 round in, so most of the cool stuff is still ahead :)

Yeah, that seems the better option. I'll let the others pipe in but I'm fine with you taking over for Ment. It's been more than 24 hours so he's technically past his mod-kill limit anyways.
