Hmm. I'll be gone on holiday from wednesday to tuesday next week with phone access only. The game is currently in such a state that lots of looking at variants and some discussion are necessary elements. Since Gnaw, EM and I don't share timezones, that's added difficulty - may I ask for an extension to wednesday 27?

Doh! Well, life happens, eh? I don't have a problem with an extension. I chew through the walls in anticipation of several games these days, so one more won't hurt.

Rules question:

Is it acceptable for 1 power to "second" a force to another power? That is to place allow an army to be placed under the command of another power. Until revoked by the 1st power, the 2nd power can submit orders for the army as if it was their own.

It happens all the time in history. Operation Overlord, the Normandy Invasion in WWII, placed field command of all ground forces under General Montgomery.

I actually wasn't considering it for me. Even in my old board games where we allowed seconding, a power down to 1 force had to enter its own orders. Just in case of stabby stabby orders.

Since I'm not about to post in game thread what I have in mind for the Forces Of All That Is Good And Right In The World, I'll explain it this way:

Austria seconds its fleet in Eas to Italy, allowing Italy to submit orders for it until Austria revokes the command.

The cheesy way to accomplish that would be for that Italian Fleet to take over another Austrian space, and build a fleet.

But, I think that in general, since Austria and Italy are going to communicate about stuff, the difference of Italy commanding that fleet vs. Italy asking Austria to command that fleet on its behalf is sort of moot.

Only three days. It's like watching the paint dry on the new Italian town halls in Greece.
