Merry Midwinter Meet-Up 2012 You know you want to....

I am nearly out of bed, honest! Will be there by 12.30 at the latest. This may involve not shaving, but it's cold and secretly I just want to emulate Jim's manly beard, so that's fine. In terms of plan, once we've had a couple of pints, I reckon canvass opinions on what sort of boozer(s) you want, I'll list the good options I know of by area, and we'll go with democratic vote. That, or stagger drunkenly from pub to pub.
Incidentally, anyone getting in to Kings X early and not wanting to hang around/try to find the Norfolk Arms by themselves, stop off in the Parcel Yard for a drink (it's a Fullers pub in the station, next to platforms 10 and 11), does a great selection of ales and is probably the best train station pub I've ever been in (which admittedly doesn't say much, but there you are). I recommend the Traitor's Gate ale, fucking quality.

We expect you to arrive with a suitable limp! Alcohol as pain relief is prescribed

Another excellent day out with The merry band- actually very civilised indeed. Sorry to not have had time to catch up with Dag and SM who arrived just as I had to leave. Amazed that Macros turned up - only his head, though - but a quite commendable effort. Mezla's arrival in spite of incurring serious foot damage also worthy of mention though alcohol appeared to be an effective pain killer.

Feeling rather delicate, not made it out of bed yet and don't quite remember getting home (apart from a terrible dose of hiccups on the train).
My toe has an interesting pattern of bruises on it.

Meet-up was great fun as usual, sorry I had to dash for a train and missed saying bye to some of you. Great to see all the old crowd again and to meet others.
Also has mezla ever got back from a meet-up and not felt worse for wear?
