The Lido is also very nice, yet inexpensive. Passing comment only. If you're booking on Sunday 2nd, I can't make that one, unfortunately, due to business.

I'll be hard-pressed to make it into central London that early on the Saturday as well, for that matter, so it looks like I'll be skipping this one.

I'll see what I can do next year, instead.

If any of the locals ever want to arrange random pub meets, I'm generally up for that, too.

I think I'll bow out for the Chinese and just come for a few mid afternoon drinks then. Gives me time to come home and cook some stodge before heading out again.

Hi I literally joined the forum this week, but am I reading right or is this about a london-based meetup the coming weekend?

This bit is right because [hangs head in shame], I forgot to book the table and now they can't fit us in. Really sorry folks, I've been really busy with work and looking for a house and got it into my head that we're meeting next weekend. So definitely "meeting at the Norfolk Arms and then who knows" .

Now why does this have all the signs of getting really messy?

See you all tomorrow - am sure it will be fun

there's lots of food around the area - Charlotte street near goodge street station is a good place to go looking for something to eat, there's a DimT (dim sum place) for example, or a Busaba (Thai) near there too, or lots of other pubs such as the Marquis of Cornwalis and we can always just keep walking towards Soho/Covent Garden and see what we fancy. There are loads of Pizza expresses in the area too.
but are they worth preserving?

Just out of curiousity, have people who show up tomorrow read Forge of Darkness?

Actually, not bothered, I've already managed to spoil the main bits, So FYI I will show up to wherever we are gonna go after meeting at Norfolk arms, if slightly hungover, and we'll see from there.
