ooooh I like that Posted Image

It definitely sounds better than him being a half-hexenbiest (is that even possible?) which is the current popular rumour. He sure as hell didn't look like a hexenbiest.

There were some strikingly silly moments in S2ep3, notably how all six coyotls are so deeply fixated on getting Pellegrino's autograph that all of them fail to notice, or do anything about, the two cops who just ambled right up to the kidnapped girl ("hey Hank, look, the rope is moving!"... seriously???) and freed her. Of course, those same two cops just ignore the six suspects beating the tar out of their witness, who they were kind enough to bring along in the first place...

That said, i really liked the bit where coyotl girl Vesens out because she thinks Nick is going to kill her, so naturally Hank tries to kill her!

And Hank one-punching granpa coyotl was pretty funny. AND proves my no-superpowers point!

As for the 'Hank seeing vessen' thing, i thought Monroe told Nick that sometimes when adrenaline is pumping normal humans can catch a glimpse, which is what happened to Hank with mountainman and Monroe and then coyotl-girl.

I keep using 'coyotl' because it's one of the few vessen types since 'hexenbeast' that i can actually remember AND spell. Don't get me started on blutenvoottens or whatever they call werewolves. 'Mauvais dents' was another.

The whole thing with Juliette was painful and predictable.

I have a nagging suspicion that we're leading to dead Hank and Juliette later'ing Nick in order to set up the whole 'Grimm without ties' thing Renard was telling Hexenmom about in the S2 premiere.

I've now watched the first two eps of s2.

Hate the new opening bit, but whatever. Enjoyed the eps. Nick is having an increasingly difficult time keeping his Grimm life separate from his cop life, and you can see the poor decisions resulting. On the other hand, Juliette's storyline seems predictable and uninteresting.

Good to see James Frain in the cast; hopefully we'll see more of him.

And finally, the Renard ultra-deep-subterranean-subplot is beginning to go somewhere.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Just saw latest ep... #4 I think... The one w
Vesen ebola orgy inducing swine flu.

Cute ep. Not brilliant but entertaining. The supporting cast
Mostly carried this one. Monroe and Fox-girl were suitably
endearing. I have this awful feeling she's dead meat and we'll get a
return to evil werewootenblooten Monroe, but that's an aside.
Their reactions to Hank's revelation were funny.

We also gor a new reaper, a nucklewookie or whatever, but no development
except that he can drive a cab in evil fashion.

The cat was priceless and more entertaining that Juliette.

The new opening credits are vastly better altho somewhat Buffy'esque.

The new Reaper is a Nuckelavee and is supposed to be some kind of horse creature. Also, why are all these reapers incredibly good looking? Maybe only the prettiest reapers get sent after Nick....

Really happy they got rid of that awful voice-over.

The 'Monroemance' was a little mushy for my taste but it was okay. I'm also probably the only one who felt a little awkward when (heavily pregnant) Rosalee was all over Monroe. That must have been strange to shoot. But I guess she's just doing her job.

I'm still waiting to see if that potion Renard took had any side effects. And when is Adalind coming back? I know Angelina is going to be back in a few episodes.

I'm betting we see Adalind again once Juliette laters Nick.

Probably as some sort of femme fatale sex-interest in a 'boo hoo we've both
lost everything hey let's fuck' sort of way.

Or possibly Renard sends her after Nick with a promise to give her back her hexenbeastness if she can reel Nick in.

Agree the nookielookee had some sort of hooves but the head was pretty feline.

Yeah I couldn't really tell it was a horse, but they did mention the name and a bit of googling reveals it's a Scandinavian horse creature. Though Wikipedia does say it's not supposed to have any skin...but that might be asking too much of the grimm team Posted Image

Did this show change nights? I haven't seen it the last few Mondays to DVR.

No they just took a short break. The last ep was from Sep 3rd and the next one is on Sep 28th.
But I do think they're switching to Friday nights from now on.

Overall, not bad. I wish we found out more about that
Spoiler
but I'm sure we're gonna get some info about that in the upcoming episodes. I just can't wait for the inevitable moment when Renard and Nick come face-to-face.

It's like the writers have listened to the Internet's feedback and acted upon it.

No showing of how Nick's balancing Grimm/cop messiness? Well there you go. Hank + doing things off-books.

Wesen transformation not understood? Addressed in show with Hank's introduction.

Captain/Royals confusing the shit out of you? Well... maybe a little less of that. Maybe more though.

No connection between Nick and Juliette? Wipe slate clean and then force them to build it on-screen.

The trailer of magic knowledge? Not infallible, but it is being used better. And Nick's using weapons/devices from it too.

More Monroe/Rosalee? More Monroe/Rosalee.

My only criticism is that it seemed that the horse bad guy got disposed of a little quickly. He did less than the sabretooth tiger guy.

And I liked the hiring of the True Blood fairy as the bad sheep who got away in Curacao.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Still one ep behind but saw the Wolf/Sheep ep....

It was mediocre. Predictable twists, Monroe under-used even when he was used, and yah, the Nucklenookie was taken out WAY too easy. It wasn't even clear that Nick killed him and next thing we know 'hey, dead body in the river'. Really? Solid fight scene, tho the irony of Nick using a big warhammer to take out a vesen that has hooves that put huge dents in things is lost if we only barely see the hammer.

The Nick/Juliet thing is just irritating me. Renard having a flashback to the smooch was the only interesting development on that point.

It was hinted at back in the second ep when he had flashbacks to the kiss.
All good because i've been waiting for Renard and Nick's storylines to run closer together.

Up to date again.

The turtle people ep was predictable but threw in one great twist that i dearly hope they use again
Spoiler
because it would be a serious game changer if that went wide.

The weeping ghost ep was entirely predictable but did a nice job with the tension level, gave Juliette something useful to do and i liked the idea that there are things out there that even the vesen consider spooky.

That episode actually freaked me out too. Something about her Wesen face was freaking scary.

Also, I didn't understand something from the turtle episode. The diary said they were only located on the Galapagos and that, since they were pacifists, they were all easily wiped out. If that was so, then how did they not go extinct?

The diary was wrong.
