On my phone wo I can't search if this has already been brought up.

The description we have of Rake's original sword sounds very similar to the Hust sword that Yedan uses.

We know Silchas used one. Why not Anomander?
Both swords are based on "will" and are supposed to be unbreakable.
I assume both came from Karkanas.

We have Yedans experience using the Hust from his POV, however, I can't think of any of Dassem's POV. Therefore can't get firsthand details. Unless OST has anything....

What think you?

With no memory of the details on Grief besides what you just posted, sounds likely enough to me.

I think it sounds likely but for one thing: hust swords scream and laugh in battle(at least against Soletaken Eleint), but there is no mention of weird sounds when

I think you can find a good POV with a description of the sword at the beginning of TtH, when

the best description of Grief comes from HoC, imo, when Cutter sees it wielded by Andarist. I don't think it's a hust. Grief is slim, plain, and black. i don't think any of those description's fit the hust sword Yedan uses. of course, hust swords could look different from one another, but i think (and the first chapter of FoD backs this up) a true hust sword has to be made by someone who's a member of the Hust House, and we know that Anomander forged Grief himself.

Ah, so it's a Rake. When is a sword not a sword? When it's a rake!

Thanks for the spoiler warning, but it might be better to put that behind actual spoiler tags (a neat feature of this board, if you didn't know). You can find the option under Other styles on the editor.

Cool info, but hide the spoiler by typing [ s p o i l e r ] [ / s p o i l e r ] around it, but without the spaces.

So, given that info,
