That recap thing is pretty cool.

Here is a one line history of all my FFL leagues:

Quote

In addition to The Black Hand, Breesus Christ would have lost to just two other teams this week.

I always end up playing teams who score a ton that week.

They are kind of cool. The only issue is reading once more that your top end RBs are only scoring 20% of what was predicted when you have done that particular maths sum while chewing on your lips around sixteen times already while watching the stattracker slowly progress by 0.1 of a point at a time. * Gnaws teeth *.

He is. He was whining about playing me last week until he realized that my team underperforms compared to what Yahoo says :p

Yahoo's score projections (apart from Ks and QBs, perhaps) look like they're made up by a monkey on a typewriter who is paid exclusively in whisky.
It's probably because they break chances for a touchdown down in decimals then count them in a score, but I think that's creating crazy expectations for RBs, TEs and WRs in particular.

Essentially, a 30 yard TD (9 points or thereabouts, or 90 yards) is what is predicted for most top WRs. In the teams that can create such plays with some frequency, there are so many targets that the score can never be achieved consistently.

If you think that Yahoo's are way off you should see ESPN's. They make the drunk monkeys at Yahoo look like rocket scientists.

Damn them all wasting perfectly good booze on monkeys when they need to be giving it to me. The only way I'm going to enjoy the season is if I'm shit faced drunk each and every weekend so I can mock my shitty ass team with a druken slur pirate slur.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tapper I'm going to beat you up this week! Muahhahaha!

Also, Damnation. One week HD scored less than 100 and he played someone who scored less than he did. I was reading the recap thing and it said HD would have only beaten two other teams in the league last week.

Breesus Christ took advantage of the second-highest score of the week from Jamaal Charles (34.80), annihilating Dassem's Bodyguard 102.12 - 54.18. It was a beatdown for the record books, and the 47.94-point margin of victory was the highest recorded in the league this season. Dassem's Bodyguard, coming off an 88.98 - 80.84 win against Password is Taco, saw their scoring drop substantially this week. Breesus Christ started one player with zero points while Dassem's Bodyguard also served up one goose egg, meaning both teams left points off the scoreboard. Breesus Christ (1-2, 282.24 points) climbs into seventh place and Dassem's Bodyguard (2-1, 272.50 points) drops to fourth place.

Breesus Christ Smooth Moves

  • Maurice Jones-Drew had the third-highest RB score of the week and the seventh-highest RB score in the league this season with 24.30 points.
  • The 34.80 points scored by Jamaal Charles ranked second in the league in scoring. It is the highest output of any player on Breesus Christ this season.
  • Stephen Gostkowski scored 13.00 points against a projected 8.33 and has now overachieved in every game this season.
  • Starter Kevin Smith put up a zero, but Breesus Christ still won.
  • Breesus Christ won despite having only 4 of their 9 starters exceed their scoring projection.
Dassem's Bodyguard Regret Tracker

  • Did not start Mikel Leshoure, who scored 19.40 points, surpassing his projected points by 260.6%, the second-highest percentage in the league.
  • 7 of the 9 starters scored less than their projected points.
  • Aaron Rodgers had a season-low 10.62 points against a projected 24.59 and underachieved for the second time this season.
  • In the midst of a season-low in scoring, Victor Cruz also did not meet his projected points (4.20 points scored versus 13.31 projected) for the second time this season.
  • With a season-low 2.20 points versus a projected 9.13, Sidney Rice failed to meet his projection for the second time this season.

Week 1 I'd have kicked the ass of almost anyone but him, either. Lucky guy, that HD.
Anyhow, I think you may be one of the most underperforming teams in the league according to the match recaps. I'm probably nr 2 on that list. So this will be the battle of the incompetent*!

My scores have been steadily increasing. If I continue at this rate I will be scoring over 200pts per game by the time playoffs start. I like those odds!

No but seriously. How did the Lions give everything to Leshoure and some random when Boss Man was doing great? BAH. BAH I SAY.

I had him on my bench :)

This is where I am failing, I do not watch the matches although I want to, they are on too late and I don't know any good sites for highlights...

Your yahoo news thingy next to each player should be able to tell you what is going on. The LaShoure thing took everyone by storm, from what I read. Especially since Smith didn't get a snap in.

I assume your problem is going to be game-day decisions which are announced just a couple hours before the matches, when you are most likely asleep.

NFL.com has very short flashes of each game, where you can often watch the game scores. ESPN.com has plenty of videos and backgrounds, and has pages dedicated to fantasy. Rotoworld.com is a newssite dedicated to fantasy, where you can also read player-updates (important because of all the rested states and injury updates). I also check fantasysharks.com which has several articles a day.

Hope this helps.

It does. I tried to watch a few games the other day and fell asleep :)

Obdi

I am thinking of putting Leshourne in my team for the next game and see if he keeps up the form, people like Sydney Rice and Aaron Rogers are letting me down
