Passive aggressive smily faces aside, I don't mind answering your questions.
I think there's a decent chance of Osseric being the bat, and if he isn't he's clearly no loss to town. The fact that he seems to disappear and reappear when he seems to have dropped off the radar is suspicious.
Town's line of attack is obviously to kill the batman. I think we can start a bat hunt by lynching Osseric. Hopefully he's the bat (he's certainly batty
). The lynch proof that CL's seem to have worries me, and I don't know if I want to try and see if it's a once off thing. Presumably the batman will pick them off, but we haven't had any indication of an attempt. If he hasn't at least tried, that's really weird. But it doesn't look like we'll get any information about that unless someone actually dies. I don't know about anyone else, but I think there's a lot in the way of BP's and things in this game, which is not the type of game I have lot of experience with.
I'm afraid I can't really answer your other two questions properly, I'm in need of a reread to do so, and I'll probably have to wait until the thread is quite dead and I've got spare time, which won't be for a couple of hours. Osseric is obviously my first and currently only choice for batman. If I thought other people were good candidates, I'd be less inclined for this lynch.
Similarly, I need to be more familiar with the thread before I can make guesses at CLs, and in any case, I'd like to see what happens with Eloth and Amp before looking for other CLs; someone said something last night about how Osseric's demand for further names is effectively doing BM's work for him and I think it's a valid point. We need BM on the back foot a little more, quite frankly. I'm not sure what to do about the lynch proof thing. Do we simply have to lynch CLs more than once? And do we really have the time to test it? Presumably this has been discussed above, and I'll see what people have to say when I come to it.
Also, it's interesting that Eloth wasn't lying when he said that he'd be hard to lynch. I know the standard measure is to throw in a bit of truth with the lies. Basically I (and presumably the rest of town) am trying to weigh up whether lynching Osseric who has been named the batman by people with no interest in towns welfare is worth the possible waste of a lynch if he is town.
