I think the Joker is around because the broadcast was done with good timing for my speculation about the broadcasts and my comment on waiting on the Joker. I think Meanas checking in when he did is suspect but also you translating that message as quickly as you did AND being around to actually point fingers quickly. If you look I did a speculation directly after my post which crossposts with pathshapers broadcast.

I can see your reasoning, but really, isn't that just a teensy bit obvious? If I were the Joker, I'd have to be an idiot to betray it by masking a name that I wasn't allowed to reveal rather than just substituting another name. I mean, the Joker's meant to have some brains, right?

Also -- the rot-13 was a guess for the cipher that proved to translate into an understandable message. I can recognise rot-13 quickly due to my ancientness and frequenting Usenet. I don't doubt many others could have done the same -- does that mean we are all Jokers? I translated to provide a service.

True but I was on my way to solving the code (would have had it too in just minutes) but someone is a faster typist. Plus, if joker went to all that work, why just decipher it for everyone? Seems silly (but I guess he's crazy )

This doesn't make sense to me. If he has to obscure his name, why would he be allowed to come on right after the PS post and decipher it for us?

As for the Joker wanting us to look at Osseric, I don't like it. I think he's just screwing with us. Osseric certainly hasn't done anything to yay or nay the suspicion though, though he did deflect Galain away from him and onto Korv... Either way, I'm leaning towards Joker trying to screw with us.

You don't find it suspicious that he knew exactly the code thing right after it was posted?

If he put in another name, we'd know he was lying, and we wouldn't get rid of batman.

I'd say we need to concentrate on Batman, as he's the biggest threat to us. If we eliminate cult leaders, they can't take the heat from Batman, and I don't thnk we'd be able to kill him off with enough finality before he could win. Safest for town if we maintain two fronts against Batman, as far as I see it.
