You know...this sounds like Batman telling the truth to me. If both town and and the other factions' VCs are to kill Batman while having plurality, and now we're seeing BOTH recruits and town members getting and using day vigs...maybe that is one of the primary methods we are supposed to use to kill Batman. Even the OP makes it sound unlikely that Batman would be lynched. So if he probably won't get lynched, and CLs have no NKs....how would Batman die?

Day vigs. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..

As I said earlier in reference to Meanas, the cache of weapons also included an NK ability instead of a day vig. Clearly you also have not been given this opportunity. So...what does that make you Fener?

Shows what you know. <_<

So here's my problem. Batman is supposed to be "hard to kill" - what does that mean? Does that mean defensive abilities like BP/LP? Or does it mean he's hard to find? Or does it just mean he has FOUR fucking lives and so he's not really DEAD until four deaths? Maybe, if the CLs have no NK abilities at all, only recruits/town can kill Batman, either by NK or day vig. Maybe Batman has no real kill protection at all. We just haven't seen enough of him to know anything yet. He hasn't killed anyone and he hasn't been lynched or found on thread. So fucking fuck, we know nothing about Batman right now.

And yeah, there's the "killed 4 times" line later on, but Ment is notoriously bad for OPs like that so IMO it could easily go either way.

There is no way it is reasonable to have 4 Big Ben mechanics happen in addition to defence against being killed at night (I can't see the Batman not having some night defences, can you?). A single Big Ben is a strictly stronger version of the Faceless Man (no discontinuity in voice because there's no alt switching, and switching happens automatically when someone is lynched so you don't have to worry about keeping ahead of people chasing after you). But 4 iterations? That's insane. The only way it makes any sense as an interpretation is if the Batman has to be killed 4 times, but is Big Benned if he dies via lynch.

So if he "dies" from NK he doesn't get a successor and we just vig him again 3 more times? Why would we ever lynch him and put ourselves through the find-the-successor process then?

Yeah, the successor mechanic obviously has to work regardless of the MANNER of Batman's death, be it lynch, NK, day vig, whatever. Otherwise the four lives bit doesn't even make sense.

Yeah if he only get a successor on a lynch then it would be better not to lynch him and to just vig and NK him, but the mechanics also seem to be steering us away from lynching CL's too. Seems like the successor thing should happen in the even of any death.

Can we get a time and vote count? I'm assuming we've probably got quite a while, but I'd like to know where things currently stand.

I'm assuming whichever mod posted from PS earlier is still in meetings.

It seems the flirting between the Joler and Ivy goes on:

Quote

Ivy, darling, honeybear, duckling, sweetest of sufferances and purest of paladins. Let me declare my undying and eternal love for your most lovingly beautiful and veeeery flexible self! Many kisses coming your way:

A-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou-mou

But what's this? A non-uniform pair of eyes staring at us from behind the shrubbery? Why it's that disgusting man with the acid-stained cock. He who lost one testicle to chemical burns and the other ran away with the spoon. See him there, hurriedly trying to get his trousers back on and flee now that we've spotted him. Poor chap, he's already lost his LP and his BP! It's too bad each of those will grow back after a full day+night cycle since it was used.

Ah, and there he goes, giving up on his pantaloons to scramble away limply.

Now, my greenest of gorgeous ganders, where were we?

Should we believe this? And if so should we lynch him again today to just be done with it?

And another Message. From the Penguin:

Shall we play a game my little penguins? How about Global Thermonuclear War? No? How about this one kids. I'll pick a letter and you throw your knives at targets that starts with that letter. The letter for today is: A.

Very good question. Although they are all trying to kill Batman, the CLs are also trying to maintain plurality, so they are not permanently aligned. So it may be to their benefit (as well as Batman's and town's) to get rid of Eloth so they have more recruits to choose from and one less CL to compete with. I can't see why they would lie.

Yeah I get where you're coming from. It definitely helps them to get rid of competition, it definitely helps us to get rid of someone recruiting from our, I'm assuming, dwindling town population, and obviously it helps BM, but i still think that getting rid of Eloth may be the way to go if his abilities are going to be given back to him.

Anomandaris, you switched your thinking so quickly there, I can't help but wonder whether the Joker's your master and you're obeying his orders.

It's clear that the CLs have little interest in helping anyone but themselves. Disappointing, but fair enough.

Killing a cult leader or killing Batman - it's all fine by me.

Wonder what you will, homie. I'm still town for now. I changed because while a vote for Rashan may be a vote for batman, an Eloth lynch is almost certainly going to get rid of a CL. We've used two days worth of lynches to no avail, it will be completely in vain if he recovers his abilities.

There are plenty of killers out there. Especially, I'd assume, batman. This is his ultimatum. Kill the fucking cult leader or he regens his protection. I won't be voting to lynch him.

If theres clearly not going to be an eloth lynch or someone kills him outright before night is over, then I will switch my vote. For now I dont see a reason to trust anyone else to do the job besides one person (Emur) shooting at eloth the only kills that have gone down are townies and recruits.
