Absolutely fantastic! I love love LOVE the liquidy look of the Rashan/Galain magic in contrast with the jaggedness of Cowl's gate. And the little details like Topper's clothing really bring it to life. Amazing work Dolmen, simply amazing!!!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I like it. I always find it hard to draw certain scenes, especially when theres a fight. You managed to make it look dynamic and intriguing. Great Job!

Thanks Juna! Its not easy coming up with the right angle. Im always sketching scenes and I think I just get lucky sometimes and occasionally manage to pull one of them off.

:D He's listed right there in the Dramatis Personae section at the front. That's pretty embarrassing considering I finished GotM earlier this month. Time for a re-read already because I can't remember any of his scenes.

Dolmen apologies for taking this OT.

I am using a tablet, get yourself a Wacom bamboo. Dont worry so much about size. I have a 300x230mm genius Tablet that is more trouble than its worth. the better your pen the better the stroke and detail.

Well I use Photoshop but the program choices are quite large. The popular programmes for the average PC include Gimp, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Corel Painter, Adobe Illustrator (for vector art) and one or two of my friends enjoy sketchbook pro, a program I started out with back in the day.

There are Tons of tutorials here:

I also find that plenty of well known artists tend to post up step by step paint sessions on Youtube which cover really advanced techniques, tricks and principles.

You might want to get a stylus for that. And keep in mind that drawing on an ipad is vastly differently to drawing on a computer with a tablet.
