So PER, +/-, eFG, Win Shares and Offensive/Defensive Ratings don't ring your particular bell?

Looking at this - http://www.basketbal...s/NBA_2012.html - will show you some surprising stuff. Do discount the offensive rating for Collison, as he hasn't played enough over the playoffs for his real ratings to be sussed out. However, seeing how much more blocks Ibaka has than the next person is ridiculous, alongside seeing how good LBJ's stats have been this playoffs on both the offensive and defensive sides.

I find it all interesting, but sometimes stats don't tell the whole story. And an overall game is much more impressive then coming first in one line.

Regardless of how I view that stuff though, I still spend hours at work pouring over them.

Oh man, what a disgusting game.

OKC must be kicking themselves for not being able to win that one.

Thats was one of the best Heat performances I've seen. OKC always nails jump shots like they're free throws. Durant in my opinion is the best pure shooter in the game, and might go down as best in history. He just stops and pops up jumpers like it ain't nothing. And westbrook is damn good in that regard, too. With that said. Lebron can also nail some good jumpers when he's on. The thing is, the Heat are not as consistent as they should be/need to he. But that game was Heat just being beast mode as far as scoring. I see OKC do it all the time. I see Heat get a lot of either 3s or tons of wade and James going to the basket. But in that game lebron and co were knocking down some sick 15 to 17 footers from hard angles WITH hands in their face. People might not have seen that as one of the Heats best playoff games, but imo it was an outstanding offensive game for them.
To summarize, Heat did what no one else has been able to do this post season. That's keep pace with OKC and outscore them down the stretch, where a lot of older teams get tired and wear down. OKC usually takes advantage late and pulls away. All props to heat. That was an amazing performance.
But I'm not gonna be a back-tracker. I'm going to hold to my statement. I still say OKC wins the next 3 games . To say otherwise would be to take the easy way out.

Stephen Jackson had a better shooting playoffs. Anthony Morrow and Kyle Korver are also better pure shooters.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I would have to say that these guys get way too many open looks. They don't nail these shots with hands in their faces as often as a Durant or a James, IMO. They shoot most of their shots off an open screen or a pass to a wide open man on the perimeter. They also aren't the top caliber shooters that will always be guarded by another elite player of the game. I see Durant making the same shots these guys make but with a hand literally in their eyeballs, and sometimes while actually having a body part being held on to. The shots Durant pull off are just far more impressive to me.
But I will give you Jackson. I might remove him from my above scenario somewhat.

as much as i love OKC, they still can't grasp and hold on for the 4th quarter to turn things around, well, they're still a young team, they must analyze what's wrong and improve it for later seasons,
but they have nothing to be shamed about, they still have a long way to go, there's still room for further improvement,
Durant must be more aggressive not just in scoring jumpshots but driving to the paint, and leading his team,
just frustrating that they're almost there, but it eludes them every game, but well, you can't have everything, kudos to Miami if they take it next game,

OKC thrive in the 4th, But Durant an Wristy aren't getting any help. Harden has bizarrely disappeared. Ibaka is too busy talking trash. Fisher is too busy being old. Perkins is an asshole. Sefalosha ... I just don't like him.

Either way, exciting game. I shit my pants when LeBron limped off the court, that shits scary. Hopefully he pulls up alright on friday.
I found this quote from Wade on Chalmers funny; "“Mario has that thing, that thing called heart,” Wade said. “And no matter what, no matter how tough we are one him, he actually thinks he’s the best player on this team, and that’s a gift and a curse...."

That crippled, token white boy was making it rain threes. Lebron's talents to south beach pays off. Probably a few more rings to be had if they make some smart moves in the off season.

Extremely happy about how it all turned out. I'm glad Lebron finally got a ring, he deserves it.

Owner of the Dallas Mavericks (Mark Cuban) -- last year's champions -- challenges media about Lebron James (specifically this douche nozzle Skip Bayless).

Never thought I'd agree with something Mark Cuban said. Good on him. Skip Bayless is a fuck head. His tweets from Game 5 were rediculous.

Quote from a youtube comment,

"I'm impressed by Skips ability to talk so well with LeBrons dick in his mouth."

Lol.

:headbang:
I like Lebron getting a ring, too. He deserves it. But I still wanted OKC to win.
I just wonder if our team, Charlotte Bobcats, can even win 30 games next year.
