NBA Playoffs 2012

Couldn't see another topic, and not too sure if anyone else is following... But;
This series is frsutrating the hell out of me! First Rose gets injured and breaks the Bulls spirit. Sure they won today, but no way in hell are they getting out of the first round.
Then the Knicks shit up the court. I was looking forward to an epic Knicks season this year; A full season with Amar'e and Carmello. Instead we get a brief bump with Jeremy Lin - who gets injured- and then in the play offs Amar'e just can't get it together. And slapping glass? wtf. Atleast Melo seems to be trying. The only good thing about this is I've won some cash betting on the series.
The west is going pretty much as I had hoped. With the exception of The Grizzlies tanking. But CP3 is a champion.
Anyone else into this silly sport?

I was excited for the playoffs until Rose blew out his knee and then Noah jacked up his ankle.
I'm pulling for the Thunder or the Clippers to make it now. Wouldn't mind seeing the Celtics make one more run either. But i'd be content with "anyone but the Heat".

Caramel Stinkothy makes teams worse not better. He's a ball hog. The more points he makes, the greater likelihood the Nicks will lose. The Nuggets are better without him.
NBA Finals 2010 = Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Knicks are constructed as an awful, awful team. Baron Davis is not an NBA point guard at this stage of his career - and I said so when he was signed to the Knicks. His back and weak work ethic have combined to leave him out of shape every season since the famous Golden State playoff series over the Mavericks. The off-ball movement just isn't there for the Knicks and even Lin's rushed return cannot fix that. Having Shumpert, one of the best defensive 2-guards already, go down with a knee injury is awful for their game too.
I love the Thunder as a team. I also rather like Memphis - they have a very beastly team, but can get sidetracked or have their shooting touch go wonky. Chris Paul is amazing, Blake Griffin is a spoiled child who can score rather nicely and Marc Gasol is the second best player in that series.
I rather suspect the Spurs make a run to the Finals, before bowing out to the Heat. It's not science right now, but their offense is ah-mazing right now.

And apparently Baron Davis has completely obliterated his knee as well now.
I am a BULLS fan so my interest in this whole thing diminished pretty quickly once Rose went down injured. THe subsequent injuries to Deng and Noah haven't helped either.
I know it is still very petty of me but I don't really care who wins the title this year, as long as it isn't MIAMI. My preference is for the SPURS to win it, as I like the fact that they are so unfashionable, but brilliantly coached. I wouldn't mind the THUNDER too much either, but please someone stop the HEAT.

I don't understand the hate for the Heat. Aside from LeBron's incredibly overblown media coverage regarding the free agency transfer, the team has done some very cool things. Pat Riley and the other front office people convinced James to come in, Wade to stay and Bosh to come in with a lesser role in mind, then surrounded them with mediocre to average talent. Most of the players on that team work very hard, play great defense and get that pace up very high - which is usually fun to watch basketball.
I have more problems with the Knicks as a team than I do the Heat, despite being a Knicks fan before I moved to a mindset of being a "good basketball" fan.
And I always loathed Dan Dickau for some reason too.

I love the Heat. I love watching Wade pass to LBJ on the sweet fast breaks. And LBJ works so hard doing what he does.
I never mention liking them though because of all the hate...
They are currently spanking the Knicks in another boring game. I'm more interested in the Clippers v Grizzlies match later. Last game was great.

I watched Game 1, which was awesome and horrifying at the same time for both the Clippers and the Grizzlies. Fell asleep yesterday just after regulation ended and woke up somewhere in the middle of the overtime to turn off the tv because I had no idea what was up at that point.
This gonna be good. Tony Allen is the best.

Zach Randolph is a scary guy when he gets pumped up. Which is right now.

Celtics and the 76ers both through to the next round, which is great.
The Lakers v Nuggets game was disgusting. When they get back to LA the coaching staff should hand out dictionaries so the team can look up defense. Ty Lawson ripped them apart.

The Lakers have had trouble with fast point guards for the past ten years. Their draft priority really should be getting an Iman Shumpert or Tony Allen-type who can guard the PG and knock down a few threes.

Nah, they have Matt Barnes and Steve Blake. They're fine.
LAC VS MEM was another horrible Clippers game. They just can't seem to convert turn overs into points. And they are shooting horribly from the free throw. Although BG managed to knock consecutive ones down late in the game. Pretty dissapointed they have let this go to 7 games.
In other news. LBJ MVP!

So, I'm thinking Spurs in 5 and Heat in 7. Spurs will pick up the last game in OKC and then go home and finish it off. The Heat will make it more difficult than they need to before pulling it out in the deciding game. What does everyone else see happening?

I see the heat finishing it in 6, and Spurs in 5.
And ultimately the spurs winning. Watching the spurs play is like watching a well oiled machine thats been working for years. they are amazing, especially when Manu is hitting his shots.

I think it's a little surprising that someone has managed to make the Heat seem like underdogs, but I agree that the Spurs should win it all. That assumes that Bosh won't be back though - a healthy Bosh could make a difference. If Miami play at their best and have even one frontcourt player with a pulse, the Heat may just be able to apply enough defensive pressure to throw off the Spurs' rhythm. It's dangerous to write off a team as stacked as the Heat are.

That was an ass kicking. Lebron just could not miss. If he plays like that in game 7 and Pierce shoots as bad as he did tonight, Celts got no chance.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

LeBron entered beast mode. I'm watching the game right now, and what I love most is how Lebron is doing this work with no emotion on his face. He's just knocking down everything and running back down the court.
I love LeBron. People need to get over what ever the fuck problems they have with him.
