Haha, good luck. XD I was really keen last time but ended up writing zip because life got busy. This time though I should be able to pull it off.

It's my exam month.
I might aim for something like 15K (or whatever the equivalent of 1667 a day is) after that though, so in on those terms.

maybe if i had more than one tiny iota of an idea for the contest, maybe then i could... but... as i said, all i have is a single scene that i like the look of, kinda. lotta work to be done

I'm tweeting my progress. 500 words so far. Might switch to the competition story for a bit of a break after lunch

Today's total: 1249 words. Could have done more, but had a rehearsal after work and am knackered. Gonna struggle tomorrow, as my cousin is getting married. But will see if I can do anything in the evening.

Yeah, I would count by chapters too, but I started in the middle of a chapter.

Nearly 1800 words today, split between novel and the competition short story. Am muchly enjoying the short story, and am also at a good place in the novel. Things are definitely Starting To Happen After a break of a few days to perform and record Elgar's "The Apostles" with Sir Mark Elder and the Hallé Orchestra, which left me rather far behind. But I shall catch up!
