the otherwise absolutely infallible Modgod has to admit a tiny mistake
with the player list. Now the (hopefully) correct one:

It is Day 1. 33 hours and 22 minutes remaining

32 Players still alive: Ampelas, Anomandaris, D'riss, Eloth, Emurlahn, Fener, Galain, Gamelon, Hood's Path, Kalse, Karosis, Kashan, Korbas, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Mockra, Olar Ethil, Omtose, Osseric, Rashan, Ruse, Serc, Shelthata Lore, Silanah, Sorrit, Spite, Telas, Tellan, Tennes, Thulas Shorn, Thyrllan

17 votes to lynch, 16 votes to go to night.

1 Vote for Ruse ( Sorrit )

Players not voted: Ampelas, Anomandaris, D'riss, Eloth, Emurlahn, Fener, Galain, Gamelon, Hood's Path, Kalse, Karosis, Kashan, Korbas, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Mockra, Olar Ethil, Omtose, Osseric, Rashan, Ruse, Serc, Shelthata Lore, Silanah, Spite, Telas, Tellan, Tennes, Thulas Shorn, Thyrllan

No i'm not. It just looks like an innocent mistake! Whatever if you think they'd make a mistake this early in the game.

Setting: A nonspecific city in Southern United States. Groups of humans struggle to cope with the disease that is killing them... and causing them to raise from the dead as a shambling nightmares. Three groups have run into eachother in a large skyscraper, a complex so large that they often lose eachother. Making it their temporary home, they sometimes leave to get supplies. Other times, they raid the floors of other groups in the massive building. Always, they fear the impending horde of flesh hungry zombies.

It's like Die Hard but instead of killing them they are getting back up!

Yippee Ki Yay

Interesting... so it looks like we have 10 zombies? Which would make the odds a wee bit better for our shambling friends.

Also, geez, really? Meanas, your attack looks more suspicious to me than anything Sorrit or Galain have done. This early in the game, how do you have any indication of what team either of them are on? What if they are on your team?

Why the hell would anyone pretend to be a zombie?

Attack? Sorrit slips, Galain defends and re defends. Putting pressure on a player is not unknown this early. Yet thinking my "attack" warranted much suspicion from you casts my eyes towards you. Without "Attacks" (which others would call votes) we would get no where fast. By saying this, this early, you would scare people into not making accusations on thread for fear of being looked at like what you've just done. If you look Galain even used the same lettering and exclamation marks as Sorrit which again could be a subtle form of signalling and his defense could in fact be an indication that Sorrit is someone we should look at. Then there is you also casting doubt on my observation and using the word attack to actually make it sound worse than what it was which is a vote. Interesting!

So by my Brainzzz calculations the game starts with 22 non zombies and only 2 zombies. If that is the case then the zombies don't stand a chance since the game starts with a grand total of zero players that have 1 DR. How the hell are they zombies able to recruit if they will die off when they attack anybody? Do lynched and night killed players turn into zombies before they are truly killed? We don't need another game where we have no lynches or night kills. Theories anyone?

Brainzzzzz!!!!

Yummy

Brainzzzzz!!!! Yeah only 24 players in the game so do you think PS got the numbers wrong or have you just brain farted??

5 Z's and 4 !'s, veeeerrry subtle maybe coincidental but something to note to say the least.

There are 31 alts in the game. The largest faction described in the OP is size 6. Odds are pretty good at this stage that a random player you choose to attack is not on your team. The fact that you haven't thought about this makes me think you're trying too hard to appear like you're a human. Alternatively, learn 2 math.

EDIT: X with Galain.

I'm just trying to understand more. From what I see, Sorrit's "slip" is assuming there are only 24 players. A mistake I made myself. Doesn't mean I'm on the same team as him, it just means we weren't reading properly.

I'm not against putting pressure on people, quite the opposite. But I get very tired of the "you defended this person, therefore you must be on the same team!" argument. And now, because I disagree with you, I must be on their team too! Why did you not include the stuff about punctuation and lettering in your original post? If you are going to put pressure on someone, you need to say why you think they deserve it, because a vote on it's own is simply going to raise (in my opinion, justified) ire, which you can then point to as if it was an overreaction.

And Anomandaris, I am well aware of the odds. However, I still don't think it is necessary to start a fight without at least a general idea of who is on your team. These are long days. What is the rush?

We routinely end up speed-lynching on Day 1 because we wait 12-15 hours before starting to play properly. Seems eminently sensible to start early. It's not like there's going to be a lot of knowledge about who is in which faction available on Day 1 anyway - finder hasn't had time to do any finds, no-one will have changed sides so you can't look for tells there. You might be able to pick out some human faction/other splits based on how people are talking about the game, but that's pretty much it.

Speaking of which, if there are 31 alts and only 24 players, then that means some players must have multiple alts. My guess is that the zombie players have several alts each, which means we should be on the look out for people who sound like they're jumping between alts (eg. same mannerisms from different players, overly cute/forced interaction between two players that only ever seem to show up at around the same time, that sort of thing).

as I said, I have no problem with putting pressure on people. I just start getting antsy when people lay votes down a few hours into the game.

I had wondered about the possibility of multiple alts as well, and your suggestion is a good one.

So....how do the non-signups work...

Do they get modkilled when they haven't posted for 36 hours?

I mean, it should soon be pretty obvious which alts are dummies, unless PS is going to spend time low-posting each one.

OR,

[fearmongering]

zombies control multple alts?
