Iskar Jarak would also be on as if memory serves me correctly when they were having the discussion about grand kids he was in pole position.... another might be the Redeemer and one may even go so far as to say that Icarium, even though he is aligned with elder and modern warrens through the tiles and cards is on his way to being the cheif babby sitter for the grand kids like Krul was for the kids.

It's also suggested that the 'new' warrens Icarium created may not last. As far back as GotM we've been told about warrens and even Houses than are destroyed or fade away, so while Iccy's warrens are major event in context of the story, it's not completely unprecedented and not necessarily permanent.
That said, i can't help but wonder whether the Azath that appears at the end of DoD, via Iccy and Grubb (or Sinn) using the new warrens, may not anchor them.
Of course, Kettle House was supposed to anchor the Refugium and that didn't turn out so well for anyone involved...

then again i think that the power of teh Errants eye is perhaps a lot stronger than the young kettle and as such I have great faith that between the eye and the new matron that lives in said house will be strong enough to ensure that at least one patr of the malaz world should always have iccy's warrens

This.
Things are already going on in the Malazan world at the beginning of Gardens of the Moon. Things will presumably continue to happen after the end of The Crippled God. The Book of the Fallen chronicles events specifically having to do with the crisis presented by the Crippled God and what his presence is doing to the world. That problem being solved is a logical stopping point for this particular series set in Wu. There are still other stories going on, just as there were other stories going on when the series started. Some of them intersect with the plot that TMBotF is mainly concerned with at various points. That doesn't necessarily imply that all of them will be resolved within it.

I like that... Krul: Elder God, Creator of the Warrens, and Chief Babby Sitter.

Grubb can use the new warrens on his own, can't he? Maybe through use he'll figure out how to solidify them a bit more.

Grubb was apparently just borrowing power from Sinn.
It's never made entirely clear but that's how i read it.

I always thought that Grub was well capable of using the new warrens, just apparently spent no time learning how to acess that power except when his life was potentially in danger and kicked in instinctively. Best example was probably when Sinn sent that wave of fire at him, and he brought the earth up to extinguish it.
As Sinn kept saying, he was the only one that could stop her. Wishful thinking on her part.
There was the bit at the Nahruk battle, which I can't remember well, but pretty sure it was Sinn that was leeching extra power off Grub to smash the citadels.

I think Grub can do it too, else he wouldn't be included alongside Sinn and Badalle in that POEM OF DESTINY.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Not necessarily. His future destiny as First Sword suggests high end martial skills, no warrens needed.
Hence that moment when he takes over directing the KChain at the battle for a while.
