Interesting, this popped up in my yahoo japan account today as a suggestion of something I should buy.

Coincidence? Or Sombra's world of no-privacy online has caught me!

They're watching you!

I shall be adding it to my collection. Three so far. Looking good!

That is a creepy coincidence, I believe you've just entered your own J-horror experience.

I think I've found it. At the moment, I'm pretty settled on this one:

I'd honestly advise against getting a Japanese or Chinese character tattoo.

I don't know how it is around there, but at least around here it's the hallmark of the douche-tattoo.

Got to agree with Stormy on this. Kanji tattoos aren't well looked upon here. Also depends where it is going.
I guess what matters is that it works for you.

I think kanji tattoos do look a bit douchy, in general. That is a personal opinion. Most people that have obvious mistakes in them or don't get the finer connotations and it just looks silly.

However, of all the things you could put on yourself as a reminder, it's not that bad. Once, when I was falling apart from stress in university, on the verge of tears, my boyfriend at the time told me, "Just remember...", wrote that word on a slip of paper and gave it to me. At the time, he was telling me "keep a stiff upper lip, "suck it up" and "this too shall pass", all in just one character. If it means something like that to you when you look at it, that's fine, isn't it?
