All I really saw of Okaros was someone who was having problems with posting. I don' t really see what pretending to be a noob in a noob's game would do for anyone.

Similarly, what good does lynching more experienced player do for town? They're only as likely as anyone else to be scum, and more likely to be able to catch scum just through having practise.

I don't know about the others, but my vote for Okaros is based on the fact that he accuses everyone who disagrees with him of being scum or being intimidated by him, and when responding to accusations blatantly ignores central parts of the argument.
I think the idea behind the noobishness or lack thereof was that his play was inconsistent, at times he was drawing attention to being new and then at other times he would display knowledge that a noob is unlikely to have. I can't see anyone here suggesting that we lynch people based on how many games they have played.

i have glanced over it okaros seems to be desperate and spouting anything to save himself rather than something constructive if he is town then he should realise that even if he is ri he should stay to the truth and be as honest as possible by pretending to be one thing then showing he is something else and flinging accusations left right and centre he is creating a lot of diversion for town the case for him is that town should be as open as possible and not hide behind things but also because of kara coming on and defending him if okaros is innocent then kara is scum that is how it looks how can kara be so sure to defend okaros

@Tiam, I would agree now that Okaros, since you've made a case on him, is sputtering with self defense as he drowns in his own mistakes. I've seen this happen numerous times on day 1 and don't believe I've seen a scum player act this way. I mean, there is always a first time for everything.

No, what I find even more fascinating, Tiam, is your absolute boner for Okaros. You are driving a vote forward on him with tunnel vision to all other cases and proposals (except for the quick note on Merrid, which I will get to next post). Tiam it is day one, and as the veterans keep saying, Day 1 cases rarely, if ever, are good and rarely, if ever, end up nailing scum. I mean you seem pretty convinced you have the golden case that proves it all on Day 1. Know something we don't?

And to compound things, you are already arranging for Day 2. Building up accusations against me. First I'm a symp trying to save my killer-master Okaros and then more recently, as the conversations play out, you switch to the perception that I am actually scum framing town and guiding town into it's own self destruction (despite my vote and case against Thyr, who has done a remarkably shoddy job of defending himself).

So yeah, I reciprocate, and turn my attention to you dear Tiam. Why do you seem so confident Okaros is scum over all other cases and suspicious players? Esp. on Day 1.

Hang on a second. JLV said this was a standard M and P why would he include lovers? I'll have to go back and check on this but usually M & P includes killer and symp maybe a finder or guard or healer and that is it.

Damn Korabas. Shitty to lose that town secret advantage (of course it does make sense to reveal because being lovers provides no advantage if one of the two of you are dead).

However, if we have paired killers (or even a symp who knows his master), this is a perfect opportunity to try to CI one's self and partner/master. I will need more thought on this before I give you more credibility than anyone else.

This is what I noted when looking over Tiam's case and post case commentary. So as I said, Tiam has had tunnel vision with regards to Okaros up to this point. I was even surprised when Tiam didn't comment on Thyr's initial sputtering "defense" against my case against him (which, to remind you all, was not answering the accusations followed by a little redirection).

However, Merrid's small exchange with Thyr warranted a commentary and even a pun emphasized with an underlined Merrid.

At least I picked out some irregularities with Okaros. You just wanted to provide a different option other than Okaros. Now if we believe Okaros to be town and part of a lover pair with Korabas then why would you defend Okaros if you did not know his allegiance? But here's the thing Tiam: you spend two multiquoted posts pointing out Okaros' vacillation between veteran and newbie, but I really didn't see any other reasoning to your case. Frankly man, like all other day 1 cases it was weak, though a little weaker than most. Just because you have a lot of quotes with a comment interspersed here and there doesn't make your case deep and insightful, worthy of a detailed analysis. I commented on the only substance of your case and then moved onto my observations.

I typed up a post at this stage with Vote Merrid. I then reviewed what I wrote and it didn't wash but just as I deleted the post Merrid posted so therefore I commented on it. If you believe I was signalling Merrid then vote for Merrid rather than flap around. Why would the killers communicate on day one? I see no reason for them to. We have 11 players do we not? 1 lynch and 1 kill takes us down to 9. So better for them to hide and let us lynch each other no? Therefore the reason I was looking at Okaros was because he was trying to hide but failing. I am still unsure whether or not to believe Korabas.
