So what happens if Trump just continues to refuse to concede? Surely there has to be a contingency?

As far as I’m aware conceding is a formality for smooth transition, and not a legal thing he needs to do, so I’m not surprised he’s not willing...

But they can just remove him from the white house in Jan if need be.

He has a scheduled press conference coming up with his legal team but he's golfing.

Good to know, I imagine he's going to go scorched earth before he leaves sadly. Maybe some of the Republicans who have suddenly "rediscovered" their consciences after 4 years of sycophancy will try to mitigate the damage but I won't holdy breath.

Trump 'tweeted the location and time – 11:30 a.m. ET – after posting then deleting an earlier tweet that said a "Lawyers Press Conference" would be held at 11 a.m. at "Four Seasons, Philadelphia," which seemed to suggest it would be held at a hotel. [The Four Seasons is a famous luxury hotel chain.]

"To clarify, President Trump's press conference will NOT be held at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia," the hotel tweeted Saturday. "It will be held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping- no relation with the hotel."'

Most likely explanation is sheer incompetence.

It's already begun.

The Trump Administration fired three agency leaders in the past two days, one of them is the head of the US nuclear stock pile.

I can't be more proud of our nations voter turn out this season. It was amazing across the board to watch.

A high voter turnout is always a positive thing.

He's probably just going to fuck off and play golf for two months.

Congratulations on removing Mr. Shit to our American forum members. Now please make sure you get two democratic senators in Georgia so your shiny new president isn't just decorative.

If I could vote in GA, I would. I will do whatever I can to help, though.

Best of luck to you.

It is crazy how much rides on those two races. At minimum the possibility of stimulus, which can affect the upcoming recession, which can determine the outcome of 2022 elections, and so on.

God forbid if another SCOTUS justice passes away and Biden has an R senate.

Well done, US. You managed to (barely) resist the lull of a populist second time around.

Now let's see how much of the damage actually gets rolled back.

Congrats, Americans. Very glad for all of you. I hope somehow the country can move on from all of this and start healing the divides.

'Colorado Cop Threatened To "Hurt" Biden Voters On Facebook, Warned: "Now's The Time To Be Afraid"

[...] has been placed on leave [...]

[...]"If for some reason we lose do we get to be little [expletive] and beat the hell out of the other party like they did. Because they don't believe in what we do. In fact in case we actually let Biden win. There will be far fewer results than this year because we'll help them find God. Democrats you were scared of Trump now's the time to be afraid. We will do what you have done to our city's and prevail p.s. please meet me at the battle grounds."

A subsequent comment to that post reads: "I'm ready to leave my job just so I can hurt these people that act like they know what real life is about. They are a bunch of time out in the corner billy people. They have no clue of the true rath [sic] thats coming. Dems you though you made a scene or statement with BLM just wait this it will be fun!"'

Aside from rifle fire into an empty house, I haven't seen any reports of major violence yet....

Congratulations President Elect Stutter. You earned it man.

Have I ever made fun of your disability?

I haven't - because it is a profoundly wrong thing to do and damaging to people.

I think you need to rethink a lot of what you're doing.

It's very strange as a non-US citizen to feel so relieved about this. I hope it signifies the world going a little more back to normal soon. Being lead by people who can speak in full sentences, stuff like that. I am really hoping that the ripples bring positive things in my own country. Still not entirely hopeful though. If the last 4 years have taught me anything it is how to be politically shell shocked.

I wouldn't even bother. By the way, the way that was cavalierly posted, it isn't a stretch to conclude that other offensive words are used with ease and as part of a typical day's discourse. If you know what I'm getting at.
