Come on, Quick. Trump fired him for being incompetent. Of course he'd try to slander his work place after being fired. You can't put any faith in a disgruntled employees testimony.

Just like Cohen, and Tillerson, and ... Well, you get the picture.

What’s incredible is I can’t remember who but one of the commentators called it. He said Bolton probably said he would testify if subpoenaed because he will be crucified if he puts it in his book but didn’t at least offer to mention it to the senate . However I note that he still said he would testify if subpoenaed. Nothing stops him from writing to the senators or calling a press conference.

Don’t know if he worries that will hurt book sales or what.

I'm baffled by 2 things now.

1 - how anyone still thinks he's going to get to get chucked by a rep lead senate

2 - how anyone can deny he is in the early stages of dementia, he was talking about Elon Musk in an interview last week and mid sentence started refering to him as Thomas Edison, and not in an ironic or flattering way, straight up confused about it way.

Trump for pres 2020, lets all watch his slide into complete insanity

The President (2012) said:

Please proceed, Governor.

Chris Christie (2016) said:

There it is.

Elizabeth Warren (2020) said:

And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

There's also the audio released by Parnas where Trump says to remove Yovanovitch, to get rid of her.

He also tweeted about Adam Schiff - "He has not paid the price, yet, for what he has done to our Country!"
I mean, how do you the think the wack-a-doodle maga hat wearing, gun clinging Trump supporters will interpret that? Possibly a call to action?

It sure as hell does sound like a hint to something like that.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

In any other timeline, a President actually threatening a sitting congressperson would be considered insane, and way over the line.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Guys, I’ve been catching up on the Impeachment hearings. I hate to say this, but I think Hunter Biden might actually get impeached.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

The Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the blow up he had with the reporter is gaining traction. I heard some coverage on the drive home from work Friday evening and I was floored by how unprofessional a key member of the current administration was with a reporter asking (what seemed to me) appropriate questions, given the recent Iran tensions and the active impeachment trial that has dominated the news cycle. And what I heard was from the interview. The details of what has been released about his closed door meeting with her after is rather upsetting, especially for someone holding one of the most important positions in govt. .... only the best people.

'State Department drops NPR from Pompeo trip after Ukraine dust-up

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appears to be escalating his criticism of NPR — this time not just with words but with actions.

On Monday NPR reporter Michele Kelemen was notified that she was being removed from the press pool covering Pompeo's upcoming trip to the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
The sudden change came just a few days after the top US diplomat responded angrily to an interviewer from the public radio outlet.'

I love that the state department is bitching about free media! Gonna hurts America’s ability to criticize other states.

Can you show me a time when the GOP party actually tried to live by their own rules? Their uniting mantra is 'rules for thee, not for me'.

Apparently it simply seals the deal on re-election.

Well, it seems like today is going to be a pretty dark day for the US...Trump is likely going to be acquitted in the Senate trial without witnesses or evidence being even allowed.

To the Americans on the board, I'm sorry that your Constitution is being torn up today by the various 'crats in power...I would send my hope that you can send your message when you vote in November that such shit is not cool...but I feel like that ship may have sailed with the rigging of the elections already in play by the R's...and the fact that all the judicial branch have now been stacked with corrupt R players...means you no longer have democracy.

That sucks.

On a Democracy/government/free-world level it's earthshaking. My inner pessimist feels like five years from now we'll be looking back at this moment as the one that triggered the dissolution of the USA.

Putin. Is laughing. His ass off.
So is China's upper cabal.
Over in North Korea Kim had to have his pants slaves change him twice he was laughing so hard.
Khamenei has cycled through his entire repertoire of evil laughs twice already this morning, US and Iranian time zones.

As long as the Democratic nominee for President is somewhat decent, they should be able to unseat the sitting president in the upcoming election in case of an acquittal.

There is still hope, but there are quite a few possible Democratic nominees for President that would push the swing voters to Trump, I'm thinking.

If that is the case, then the problem is not the candidates. It’s the American people. Of course, we already knew that.

Election swing or not, this is something I don’t think we will recover from soon. Not without a big enough swing in Congress to put some additional Constitutional and statutory safeguards in place.

The problem is that whatever happens now...the 2020 election WILL be Schroedingers Election...AKA probably illegitimate. If Trump is proven to be able to do whatever he wants with regards to "getting help" for the election interference...then NOTHING is off the table...Today will prove that cheating in an election is 100% okay, and people should be allowed to do it. So nothing can be trusted after such a ruling. Nothing.
