Lousiana is rarely a Democratic win for president.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Well, if you look at it historically, it goes Dem a majority of the time. Since the Civil Rights revolution, not so much.

The President (2012) said:

Please proceed, Governor.

Chris Christie (2016) said:

There it is.

Elizabeth Warren (2020) said:

And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

Elizabeth Warren has been called (by NBC) as the winner in MA. Yay!

It was also one time part of the CSA, so I'd like to keep it in the post-Civil Rights era, yes.

Apparently that was a false Twitter report. Guy from the Washington Post had to apologise for declaring it after being taken in by it.

Yeah, I was watching it. I'm on the interactions tab on Twitter; too many stimuli on the general feed.

Still early days I know, but the BBC coverage is pretty good and it is starting to look like an Obama victory to all the pundits and me.
He;s just got New Hampshire and is ahead in Ohio, Colorado and marginally ahead in Florida. They were talking about legal/ recount shenanigans in Florida just now, but it's not really going to come into play anymore ?

All the staffers at the Obama HQ look rather relaxed and happy.....
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

I'm watching the Sky coverage and it's rubbish. They keep trying to make it seem as if it's all too close to call and could go either way. Perhaps I should switch over to the BBC.

Yeah, the writing has been on the wall for a while (love Nate Silver's tweet just now, 'On The Wall, The Writing.') and we don't get too excited until it's officially called. Though I imagine you guys want to go to bed.

Do it ! You know it makes sense, Jeremy Vine has got loads of pie charts !

The main American stat guy the Beeb are using has essentially just called it for Obama.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm going to bed now as I've just watched a BBC reporter standing in a bar in Ohio with a bunch of pissed people shouting "Yes we can !"

Congratulations America.

Fox News has been astoundingly racist today. "We are becoming a more brown country"!?

At least their tears are delicious.

I won't switch to Fox (in the commercials) until it starts to get more clear. :) Also, Daily is on soon, and live.
