That makes sense, but also, many think it's just a parting fuck-you to the people who voted him out of office. He was an extremely unpopular governor, which is why a Democrat was able to beat him in Kentucky. That race has a lot of people hoping that Mitch McConnell will be voted out in 2020, but as amazing as that would be, it still seems highly unlikely.

I'm keeping mostly away from the race now, but I have to ask resident americans... what do you think about setting up a 77 year old man as a frontrunner? Are the Democrats expecting to lose the election so they only 'burn' a pretty bad candidate and build up better for 2020? I am, personally, at a loss.

I’m hoping they impeach him, but refuse to send articles of impeachment to the senate until the senate sets an actual trial for the process.
Otherwise, let it hang over his head and keep investigating. Lord knows there’s enough to investigate.

A lot of people hope that this is Nancy's plan, but I think her 4D chess is even better than this.
I think that this'll be 1 of 2 or more impeachments that will occur. I think before the Ukraine scandal occurred they were already working on articles of impeachment and the scandal caused them to shift up the timeline becuase of how blatant the crime against he office was...which is why this has only Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress as artivles...Pelosi also KNOWS that the GOP heavy senate will be derelict in the trial portion. So they will impeach him and the GOP won't remove him. THEN they will move on to impeach him a second time with some of the articles they were already working on before Ukraine, and we will go through ALL of this in the House again and watch the GOP try to spin THAT. I'm not sure if a 3rd impeachment could be down the road from that, but I truly believe that Nancy is a smart person who is WELL ahead of the curve that these idiots playing Watergate-For-Stupids are operating on.
He won't be removed, but if Nancy can get the house to impeach him MORE than once, and keep that in the news cycle well into 2020 as a result, it could affect the polls AND the health of the Democratic party.
Also, imagine being DJT and having to live with the fact that you were impeached MORE THAN ONCE....LOL. That shit would get under his skin forever.

What I want is a second impeachment round for the tax fraud and emolument violations. That's the stuff that really bothers me and I think it would be a better argument against him in the eyes of the underclass voting for him.
