Dammit, my internet shat out on me and I lost a post. I'll repeat it as best I can.
I'm tired of my actions failing. I actually agree with you, Fener, that cult is the bigger threat right now. I also agree that I would rather settle this town vs scum.
And you have two shields left, correct?
Give me the name of one of them. I'll prove who I am. You'll lose a Shield, but you'll also know that I actually am town, and we can work together to eradicate the cult.
In fact, I'll agree to refrain from my NA (after I prove it initially, of course) until the cult leader is taken care if.
Of course, you can lie with the name. My NA would fail on anyone not a Shield, and I would cry lie or guard. Then you could get my lynched. I don't discount the possibility, but I hope you see the benifit in the sacrifice of a minor pawn to form this temporary alliance.
Any of that sound good? Or fruitless?
Oh, and if you're worried about me recruiting your Shield, it shouldn't matter. From all indication they function as your shield even as cult. So if I did recruit your Shield, you could lynch me and still have 2 shields, just with one not technically on your team (but still wanting to survive, I'd bet).

Contradiction much? Of course I would lose a Shield either way, because in both scenarios my Shield dies, either from you or from a town lynching.
In fact, I was thinking of offering a similar deal to town, but I'm not going to, because that would be intentionally ruining the game of another player. And I think one player having their game ruined already in this game is quite enough, thanks.
I truly believe you're the cult leader. If town helps me get rid of your presence, I will refain from trying to kill anyone the next night. Obviously, there's no way I can prove I will stick to my word, but as you've already seen, I've tried to go after you despite believing that you're not even town. But as I say, I can only give my word on that.
Of course, this is all moot if town doesn't believe you are a cult leader, or doesn't care even if they do think you are.

Oh, and Town, if you would like to ask me straightforward questions I will answer them honestly. Yes/no are easiest, and are good for clarification since people never understand me when I try to explain things extensively.

I think it would be in our best interest to pursue the cult today. The name I've heard the most (besides my own) is HP, because he was the first one to bring it up. Is there any credence to this if I am removed from the equation?
What other names... I definitely need a reread, but Korbas seems to be playing Silencer smooth.

Decide if you think Ruse is Scum. I don't believe he is scum. (he did know I was inno)
If you don't think he is scum, then Osseric, Tennes, and Ruse are not scum. (this does not mean these people can't be cult)
That leaves
Hoods Path, Kalse, Rashan, Korbas, Sorrit.
2 are Shields, 3 are inno/cult.
Since Fener also has to worry about the cult as well, I say we let him worry about the cult (he does have killing power after all). and we will worry about the shields.
I will likely vote one of those 5 as they could be either cult OR shield. (better odds.)

HP and Rashan were behind the OE push from day 1.

of course the problem is that town's VC is to get rid of the pig AND cult,now.
and removing the shileds hepls the cult fulfill their VC.
we'll have to be pretty careful here, since the cult's only gonna grow from here on...

This is wrong.
I don't have to worry about the cult, that's exactly my point. My victory conditions say nothing about eradicating cult, only town. AND, as you saw with Olar Ethil, OE's CF suggests that they REMAINED my shield as well as being cult. Cult is a bigger danger to town than it is to me. YOU have to worry about the cult.
The only reason I'm pushing the cult angle is because, frankly, I don't like it in the game, and the sooner it is gone the better. If town wins this, I'll say well done, well played. If cult wins this, then I'll just be pissed off.
