You know I think Ruse is Innocent and has recruitment ability, how about that Tennes? Creating imaginary roles is my thing here I guess. Well, you know what, let's shift attention elsewhere for a second. Ruse' reveal wasn't the best but I don't know what he can say. In fact I was about to give you something to chew on but i'll ask about that first. We see it time again that those playing scummy are the ones to get lynched or attention and are therefore exempt from night actions as scum think them lynchable and therefore the low posting people or smooth players are the ones to get targeted. Well maybe I decided to play the way I am playing to look as lynchable as possible but yet not be lynched, I want to look scummy but I am not shirking on my duty to try and help town.
The initial vote fener idea was in response to someone's idea of voting night, I didn't hop on to that train of thought and try and get them lynched cause I could see one way of it benefitting town. I still think my vote fener thing was a good way of voting night instead of voting night if that is what the masses decided to do. You guys are making me feel like giving up on my quest to find scum and I don't give a shit if you lynch me. What is grating me is that there are 4 scum players who are able to control the thread by picking off the most scummy looking players, but I don't think scum play scummy, I think they play differently than that and smarter than that. But yeah, go along with whoever wants to vote fener or thinks aloud on thread that's fine by me. I just think when you see my cf you'll be a pissed off with my play.
First, unless you are posting from a phone, your paragraph structure and punctuation are horrendous. I'll do a bit of that in your post to make it legible.
Okay, let's start with Ruses role: recruitment? Not a bad idea. I quite like it. It is theoretically possible since the shields know only themselves and Fener. It is supported by the OP containing the word 'when even 1
loyal shield is alive'. As an argument against it: recruitment is usually tmdi 8. I'm willing to entertain this notion but I'm not going to hope for it.
When it comes to being scummy to be lynchable, there are a few things you need to do. The first, the key, about being lynchable as a town player is being lynchable without being overly scummy. You will want to be target 4 or 5 on the lynch radar, not number 2 like you. Second, "I want to play scummy to be lynchable" is no defense. The second you say it people are going to scrutinize it and the part of the sentence that will cling in their minds is:
I play scummy. Whether you are intentionally scummy or just scummy because your name is Scummy MacScummersson does not matter when it comes to lynching you - town ought to lynch scummy players. So when it comes to your underlined, if you do want to play that way, best be prepared to run the gauntlet and prepare for multiple igmeoy posts. You'd best make sure you can riposte every accusation, have logical explanations for our every vote, your every move, your every case and your every post. A main requirement is also to avoid people making cases on you and voting you. Sadly, you haven't dodged those two as it stands.
Without trying to be arrogant: that way of playing takes skill (and in mafia, skill is defined as a big mouth, some arrogance, some logic, an ability to go lower on the radar, a certain sensibility, some oratory skills, coolness under pressure and the ability to really give the truth a good spin so you don't smell like shit when it hits the fan), and since you are target #2 atm and I think it will boil down to you or Ruse today, I'm sorry, you didn't succeed in that.
So as much as I applaud you for trying: you didn't achieve it and your intention is no defense.
As for giving up your quest to lynch scum because we are not enthusiastic enough in following you:
1. personally, if I can dismiss something in one sentence instead of in ten, I prefer the one sentence (unless I have put on my Act like a Dick/ Look at me being Superior hat, then I'll use ten paragraphs to illustrate on how many accounts you are wrong).
2. when lynching and making cases we are much more likely to be wrong than to be right.
3. if your ego or pride is wounded, get over it.
4. if your ego or pride is wounded and you can't get over it, gloat in SH when it proves you are right.
5. if your ego or pride is wounded and you can't get over it and SH proves you wrong, better luck next game.
6. if your ego or pride is wounded and you can't get over it and SH proves you wrong, and the next game 5. applies again and your ego and pride are even more wounded and you actually care about that, sit out a game or two.
On to the next bit:

So what you are saying is that we should turn this game away from searching for clues, away from analysing behavior, away from searching for connections, and instead play 'lynch the low poster' or 'lynch the smooth player?'.
Good sir/ madam, the only reason someone plays smooth
is because they are not pressured enough.
Like you said elsewhere, when I confronted you with answering only posts directed to you and ignoring the remainder of the thread: you mentioned that it would be terrible if you didn't answer other people.
Is not answerring terrible? It's not very nice, but if they really care they'll ask again, perhaps with a vote slung on for good measure. And unless you return the favor and make your own enquiries, we will still get no answers.
If we multiply your behavior by the size of town, we would get a whole world of inno's sitting on their own island only defending themselves. This is going to let scum run free because no-one is looking for them, asking them questions, pressuring or voting.
When you ask questions, when you apply pressure, when you reason, well.... Everyone will slip. Everyone will crack. Everyone makes mistakes. Pressuring someone by asking the gritty shitty nasty sucking grating questions is what acts as a multiplier. The same for picking a post apart. Condescension, pissing matches, teasing, quoting and casemaking are all tools. Some are a friendlier measure than others, but the key is to get reactions, and the key is to turn the smooth player into a bruised player.
Look at Ruse. He is clearly frustrated and he might be inno, but he botched his defense and reveal because he was not prepared for people pointing to the gaps in his explanation, he was not prepared for people pressuring him, and while he mentioned a case, he had no suspicions to talk about and no questions to ask of other people. Is it then odd that he becomes target number 1? No, it isn't, for he did everything wrong to make him a dependable person we can trust in to be town and to be the dedicated target of our healer. He drew attention, he was let off the hook day 1, he should have known what day 2 was going to be like and he wasn't ready for it. The accusations ahve been the same four basic points and he has adressed one of them by saying P-S does not allow him to speak about it.

Vote Olar Ethil
The guy is scum. Scummy scum fucking scum. All day long, crack an egg and it becomes Olar scummy scum skull. Now maybe I'll spam the shit out of the thread because that is so towny and helpful right? Right? RIGHT?
I would have liked more than a gutfeeling. I would have liked examples of why. Because I don't share your gutfeeling and if you want to convince me, you need to make me see it.
edited for spelling.
