Isn't a merc game just another way of saying a faction game? That is how I read it. Shin also mentioned that all the "clans" are equal in number.

That means there are either 4 or 5 clans in my book. 2 would be too small and 3 would create uneven numbers. You would have to jump up to 10 clans after that and that is just too crazy.

I'm not trying to get off easy with the role play. I just want some point of reference that people can look back on some of these posts 3 or 4 days from now and not have to retranslate everything that you posted here on day one. Also you might want to reread the OP. Shin clearly states that the teams are the same size in number.

I was trying to go back through some of Shin's posts on the sign up thread. I could have swore that he mentioned that the game could have ran with 16 players if he had to. If so then I'm saying that there are 4 teams.

What do people think this Open alliance comment means?

I got that much. I'm talking about is there open negotiations going on behind the scences? Or the choice of player actions affect the creation of these alliances? How does the formation of the alliance affect future actions or voting?

@Osseric - The only person that could know for sure is Shin & whoever has a role that is involved in this process. That being said, my opinion goes to role mechanics, ie. a person in the clan that can make arrangements, alliances etc.

He's not. He answer's quetions and posts thoughts using Google translater. But the translations aren't great so there is room for misinterpretations.
