well, given Shin said the game can be run w/16 people, and he moved it up to 20, my basic guess would be 4 teams of equal numbers.
which means right now we are nominally split 50-50.

So, are we actually buying Tulas supposed silence?
Seems suspiciously like vengeance's game where three players all pretended to be silenced though no such role existed.

VENGEANCE'S GAME??????????
I take offence to that, regardless that it may give away my alt.

Hmm, crap, copy/paste from Google translate doesn't work so well.

the board treats it the same way as it treats copy/pasting from Word, one of the reasons why composing mafia cases in a document or email at work is a right pain nowadays.
Anyhow, if TS is role-playing, he has to do a better job: posting in kanji or kana is just adding difficulty for the reader and isn't RP.
If he is forced to do this, so be it, but why the english addition posted before, then?
If he is doing this to annoy or hide or whatever, meh.
Of course, Shinrei mentioned that he had a special role in store for Khell. This might be it, but I can't see "use Google Translate" as much of rule, personally, so I am willing to eliminate that option.
Regarding faction speculation: I expect the squabbling clans to be all the same size. I do see an option that the Shogunate also has a few officials, these may be a smaller faction rather than equal in size to a clan. How many clans there are: dunno. If we work with variable sizes and a min/max of 16 or 20 players, 3 clans of 5 (+1 shogunate), 5 clans of 3 (+1 shogunate), 4 clans of 4 (no shogunate), 3 clans of 6 (+2 shogunate) , 6 clans of 3 (+2 shogunate) , it's all open.
I do guess we are going to get some hints later on. Since there are wounding mechanics, since all actions appear in scenes (in one form or another) and since these alliances will be published, we'll get plenty of info soon enough.
Quote
All actions performed are subject to appearing in scenes in some manner. There is a system of "Open Alliance" in effect between clans, and those alliances as they happen will be announced on the game thread for all to see.
Your breakdown covers most variables, but we know there are 20 players, so I don;t know why you use 16 as a basis. 4 known clans of 5, or 4 clans of four with 4 unknown/unaligned roles. Does this seem plausible to anyone? It's awfully early to have our faction lines so clearly known.
I used 16 as that was the minimum number of players Shin required. That is in and by itself a bit of a give-away regarding set-up. Might be that 16 was also 4x4 and he added a role to each to make it 4x5, or he added a clan, to make it 5x4. Or he added unaligned, who knows?

I don't buy it, but to start voting for it, nah. we have more than 24 hours, why pounce on it, or pay overly much attention to it?

He isn't silenced. One of his posts translates to something along the lines of that it's day 1 and he is going to RP during day 1. He is doing this all on his own.

Galayn Lord was awful quick to vote and then to remove vote on Atrahal. Afraid to leave your vote there for some reason Galayn Lord?

I'm not going to worry about it right now. After seeing the distractions of silencing previously, I'm not getting into it. Thoughts:
A) It could be his role - no way to guess what that means realistically
B)Somebody hit him with an effect in day time or pre-game
C) He's screwing around. I hope he's not in my faction
I'm sure there are other possibilities beyond this.

Ehm, no. Read back up, he showed offense at the asylum game being called Venge's. I voted him to show him I alted him.
Just sport.
You're seeing issues where there are none.

Also, I might reply that you are awfully quick to jump on anything that moves without first actually reading what is being said, but let's let that slide and call it enthusiasm, hai?

I don't have any issues with you voting for him. I do have issues of you removing your vote within the same minute and now you are getting all defensive that I've called you out on it.

Isn't a merc game just another way of saying a faction game? That is how I read it. Shin also mentioned that all the "clans" are equal in number. That means there are either 4 or 5 clans in my book. 2 would be too small and 3 would create uneven numbers. You would have to jump up to 10 clans after that and that is just too crazy.

OK, still not done, but a quick request:When you guys are humoring Tulas Shorn by "believing" that he's forced to post like this, could you at least include a copy/paste of your Google translation in the reply, so we don't also waste our time for his considerable amusement?
I was role playing. I even said that I was role playing like 3 times. I answered questions gave my thoughts. Because you are to stupid and lazy to use Google translator, I suggest that you perhaps call up your mother and apologize for being the retard sperm that managed to impregnate her egg, when your father was drunkenly mauling her in the back of a Van filled with pot smoke.
I would think this being the internet that people would be able to find Google translator with out having to have their hands held. Has mafia really became such a exercise of stupidity that a. nobody but a select few can actually role play or even know what role playing is (I mean fuck this is only day 1 therefore you shouldn't even fucking complain about role playing unless it goes on to day 2. and b. that even though you can access the internet you can't actually use it for more then looking for midget porn.
Have a nice.
Just so you unable to use google morons don't miss this.
