I'm very interested in the old guard here mostly because of the revelation of who traveler is in TtH. As far as i know TtH is the first time we hear anything about dasseem ultor (spelling sorry) not being dead.

When Apsalar meets him its the first thing she says and then he drugs her, and punches karsa orlong...and ... AND!!!!

Werent some attempts at the the murders in Malaz City? Im unsure what you mean here. Laseen isnt weak btw she has as much control as Kellenved did but with the Claw rather than the Imass. As others have said alot of your questions are answered in ROTCG so read that.

I think Kel had a stronger claim due to the T'lann Imass, The Talon and the fact that until they buggered off for like 20 years surly and her claw were still kinda there. She usurps and suddenly the Imass don't care, we've got old guard all over faking deaths until finally she gets in a load of trouble at the end of TBH and ROTCG
