Hmm. Is there a reason why there's a prologue called Straight Silver in Guns of Tanith, when book 6 is called straight silver? Intentional or an editting issue with the Omnibus?

Well straight silver does refer to the long knife they use when anyone yells to fix bayonets. So it was probably just that it sounded good to Abnett and he forgot he also used it in that prologue. Idk, I'm guessing here.

Edit: Ohh they found a gold coin at the murder scene. Evidence is mounting up.

Well, in book 5 he outright refuses a promotion, so the simplest explanation seems to be Gaunt wants to be on the frontline during the retaking
of the Sabbath Worlds
