Yes, just read over what I've missed now. As someone said (you?) the lack of resistance to the Ruse lynch is worrying, but still, I'm more hopeful about this one than I was with Kesso or Thyrllan.

Masamoto was beginning to wonder about the efficacy of his so-called allies. As he strode the walkway past the gardens, fresh with spring rain, he began planning the next letter to his liege in his mind. Once all the pleasantries were dutifully brushed he would humbly ask for advice and some form of confirmation in regards to whom he would be best off trusting and who he would be better off avoiding. The latest suspect to be laid to rest was innocent, like all the others, and he was no closer to achieving the level of respect and deference that he, the lawful shogun’s appointed minister deserved.
A sudden waft of scent brought him up short. He looked out to see his youngest daughter trundling towards him with a fistful of yellow flowers. He smiled at her, and grimaced to see those flowers, such a stinky shoot found here in these Eastern marshes. The smell was enough to make his temples pound with irritation. Perhaps he should send a small present lined with these flowers to his liege in Kyoto, as a subtle message of the delicate yet putrifying situation he was in here in Izu. Somehow, he thought, it would be taken as a slight and the actual meaning of the message would be missed entirely.
He mussed his daughter’s hair, gently turned her about and sent her back towards her playmates. Such wretched flowers in this part of our fair land, he thought. Soon the messengers he had sent would arrive and he'd have his answers soon enough.

Ruse (King Lear) has been lynched. He was Iso Yashiiro, Loyal to the Shogunate.

The way I see it, even if Ruse turns out inno, it's getting rid of a major suspect and narrowing down the options.


This game has been very - dare I say it - M&P so far. Not even any reveals - I was getting used to reveal-fests the last few games

“You mean these messages?” one of the swordsmen grinned, as he pulled a saddle cloth aside from his horse revealing 6 human heads hanging from the pommel. The others laughed.
A second swordsman spoke up, “We wouldn’t want to interrupt his excellencies’ kintama (golden ball) viewing parties with boring messages from the provinces, now would we.”
